There’s a long list of chemicals and additives that are allowed in the U.S. but are banned in Europe and other places over health concerns. There are more than 10,000 chemicals and additives allowed in food in the U.S., often in small amounts. But many have not been evaluated by the FDA in decades. The majority are safe, but some chemicals allowed here have been banned overseas after research has linked them to cancer and developmental or behavioral issues.

That was the most comical moment in videography I’ve seen in a while. In the long run, it is the consumers responsibility to know what they’re putting in their mouth. Things can be “policed” all day long, but you need to re-labels and you need to eat real food and only you can make sure of that. People who are trusting the government, the FDA, scientists, and the food corporations, who are out to make a buck are just making themselves guinea pigs.
*typo – read labels, not re-labels
caveat emptor… the idea that consumers should take some responsibility for the choices they make about food (or any other) purchases, seems to be just a distant memory as the American public has been conditioned to accept the gospel of public health experts who have repeatedly shown themselves to be not only corrupt to the core, but demonstrably incompetent. sad.
