Daily COVID Deaths in Sweden Hit Zero, as Other Nations Brace for More Lockdowns

Opinion | More than 100,000 people flooded streets in France over the weekend and multiple COVID vaccination centers were vandalized as opposition grew to the government’s most recent pandemic strategy. In President Emmanuel Macron’s latest incarnation of lockdowns, government officials have decreed that unvaccinated individuals will no longer be allowed to enter cafes, restaurants, theaters, public transportation and more.

Needless to say, people were not happy.

France’s approach is unique, but it’s just one of many countries around the world imposing new restrictions as fears grow over a new variant of COVID-19. Australia’s recent restrictions have placed half the country under strict lockdown—even though a record 82,000 tests had identified just 111 new coronavirus cases—while restaurants in Portugal are struggling to survive amid newly imposed restrictions.

One country not making much news is Sweden.

Sweden, of course, was maligned in 2020 for foregoing a strict lockdown. The Guardian called its approach “a catastrophe” in the making, while CBS News said Sweden had become “an example of how not to handle COVID-19.”

Despite these criticisms, Sweden’s laissez-faire approach to the pandemic continues today. In contrast to its European neighbors, Sweden is welcoming tourists. Businesses and schools are open with almost no restrictions. And as far as masks are concerned, not only is there no mandate in place, Swedish health officials are not even recommending them.

What are the results of Sweden’s much-derided laissez-faire policy? Data show the 7-day rolling average for COVID deaths yesterday was zero (see below). As in nada. And it’s been at zero for about a week now.

Even a year ago, it was clear the hyperbolic claims about “the Swedish catastrophe” were false; just ask Elon Musk (also see: herehere, and here). But a year later the evidence is overwhelming that Sweden got the pandemic mostly right. Sweden’s overall mortality rate in 2020 was lower than most of Europe and its economy suffered far less. Meanwhile, today Sweden is freer and healthier than virtually any other country in Europe.

As much of the world remains gripped in fear and nations devise new restrictions to curtail basic freedoms, Sweden remains a vital and shining reminder that there is a better way.

So the authorities got it wrong all along. Are they going to admit it and change? Of course not. They will continue to arrogantly deny reality.

Of course everything they did was wrong. But, they were too easily given all they wanted from us, complete compliance to all of their dictates, in most countries. And look where we are today, living in the twilight zone, with soon to be mandated, experimental shots that come with no liability, and are completely useless in protecting from, or stopping covid, and they are anything but safe.

This entire pandemic is a manufactured illusion, a hoax, and the crimes are monumental

Articles states 79% of adults have at least one dose of vaccine. It is difficulty for the public to make appropriate conclusions when some facts are omitted. In particular, facts that don’t support the view point of the author. Separately, Sweden, as per the countries published annual report, has a 97% vaccine rate fo childhood disease. The U.S. has about 76%

If I die here (forced vaccination, food shortages or whatever) I’m praying to be reincarnated in Sweden.

Top virologists NOT working for drug companies ,media or government warned that mass vaccinations during a pandemic that only lowered symptoms would create more variants and prolong the misery and danger.

Meanwhile Iceland is 95% vaccinated and riddled with covid infections as is Israel . They are already giving boosters of unapproved shot to the elderly to finish them off. Makes no sense since there are as many getting sick among the vaccinated as the unvaccinated and they have the same viral loads.

Been using Sweden as an example for not using lockdowns since the very beginning! If you followed their numbers on worldometer and focus on the deaths per million (that equalizes them with larger populations) you would have seen many other countries with higher death rates and those countries had lock downs. So what does that tell you?? Lockdowns and mandates don’t work. You will see who comes out of this first..it will be Sweden for sure!. Hurd immunity is what you are shooting for and with that people have to get sick..it’s part of life! Running from any virus only prolongs it’s life long enough to allow for a varient, which is exactly what’s going on all over the world right now! Just look at the facts, they are out there if you are willing to pull yourself away from CNN!!!

There is zero evidence for locking down healthy people, social distancing, and masks. All about compliance and control. Look at Australia, locking down again and vaccine mandates where 6 elderly with co-morbidities die in the last 6 months and 438 vaccine deaths. There were few actual sick people prior to the vaccine introduction and the hospitals report most cases and almost all severe cases from vaxxed.

So, wearing masks kill people. There is also a virus inside the mask. No oxygen and your own toxins. Fouchi and Gates have to be hanged.

I post this in response to the comment about Sweden’s childhood vaccination coverage. Apparently, childhood vaccinations are also VOLUNTARY Sweden, I am assuming that the covid-19 vaccine is also voluntary.

Wearing masks does not kill you. Healthcare workers who work in the OR wear them every day even outside of this pandemic. They don’t die from wearing the mask. Get your head on straight.

Wearing a mask outside a surgical setting does not stop the transmission of covid. It used to say this at OSHAs website, it’s since been changed to fit the narrative. I wish I would have taken a screenshot. I did take a photo of the box of masks at my workplace, it says “this product is an ear loop mask, this product is not a respirator and will not provide any protection against covid 19 or other viruses or contaminants.”

I knew they had it right from day one. Humanity can’t run from viruses in this manner with lockdowns and masks. Death is part of life and all that had to be done was immunize the vulnerable who consented and leave the rest of us alone to make our own personal decisions and use our common sense on staying healthy. But of course, I live in communist Canada, (the land of the compliant), where the government more than overreacts and treats citizens like they are incapable of making decisions for themselves. I won’t be surprised when they set up concentration camps for the unvaccinated to protect us from ourselves. Under the pretense of “staying safe” and “love for others”, blah, blah, blah. Go Sweden! The country of common sense.

    Let’s not jump to conclusions.
Sweden has it’s share of death.
Sweden death rate is lower than USA and many industrial countries, but is still much higher the earth’s average.
New Zealand and Australia have extremely lower covid death with much restrictions
Yes the masks, lockdown, travel restrictions, ouccupancy limits, didn’t stop the spread,. They never were designed to. They only slow the spread and the death rate remains.
Keep looking. Does Sweden have better treatment or prevention?
    What did Sweden learn?
Why do less industrial countries have s lower death rate?

I can’t figure out why in Illinois you can eat junk in a full theater without a mask, yet you have to ware a mask in school class.
