Pennsylvania Health Care Worker to Be Fired for Refusing COVID-19 Vaccine

refusing the vaccine

Desiree Pelletier, a 26-year old health care worker in Newville, Pennsylvania said that her employer has fired her for refusing to get the experimental COVID-19 vaccine, which is being distributed in the U.S. under an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) granted by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).1 2

Pelletier said that her employer, Hempfield Behavioral Health, is requiring that employees get the vaccine as a condition of employment in an effort the stop the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. She stated that she is not against vaccination; however, she needed more time to make a personal decision on whether it was best for her body. Pelletier was only given 30 days to make a decision and the deadline is imminent. After 30 days, the vaccine becomes a requirement for employment.3

Concerns Regarding COVID-19 Vaccine’s Impact on Fertility

Pelletier said that her concerns about the EUA COVID-19 vaccines are due to the fact that she would like to become pregnant soon and the fact that the potential adverse effects of experimental COVID-19 vaccines have not been thoroughly studied in pregnant women, including a lack of clinical investigation into the potential effects on fertility.4 She spoke with her doctor about her concerns and she said:

He could not tell me that he would recommend me not getting it, but he also said it should be my choice. I was a mess the whole time I had to make this decision, physically sick. I was thinking, ‘should I get it so I have a job, so I have insurance?5

Pelletier said that after giving it much thought, she decided that her personal beliefs take precedence over the vaccine requirement. Her employer gave her a notice of suspension letter, which states that she would have to provide proof of vaccination within 30 days.6

Pelletier’s suspension letter states that she must get vaccinated because she works with patients who are immune compromised and have a high risk of contracting the SARS-CoV-2 virus but are unable to get the vaccine for medical reasons. She said, “I don’t understand why I couldn’t sit here and Zoom unvaccinated with participants. I didn’t understand why I can’t be on the property with a mask on like I have done from June of 2020 to November of 2020.”7

FDA Says COVID-19 Vaccines Under EUA Status Must Be Voluntary

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) explicitly states that experimental vaccines distributed under an EUA cannot be mandated and recipients must be given the option to accept or refuse the vaccine. The FDA website states:

FDA must ensure that recipients of the vaccine under an EUA are informed, to the extent practicable given the applicable circumstances, that FDA has authorized the emergency use of the vaccine, of the known and potential benefits and risks, the extent to which such benefits and risks are unknown, that they have the option to accept or refuse the vaccine, and of any available alternatives to the product.8

Woman in Nevada Lost Her Job After Refusing to Get COVID-19 Vaccine

A Nevada resident claimed that she lost her job after refusing to get the EUA COVID-19 vaccine that her employer was requiring as a condition for employment. For privacy reasons, the woman did not want to share her name and the name of her employer.9

The woman said that she and some other employees refused to get the vaccine at the present time. She said, “We didn’t say no. We said not right now.” She added that, “There were just a lot of concerns. But they were just not heard. I feel like we should all have our right to choose or not choose it.”10

  1. The rate of death jumped ☹ significantly from last week ? As of Mar. 26, 2021, 2,097 ☠ deaths — a subset of 44,749 total adverse events — had been reported to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) following COVID-19 vaccinations. The numbers reflect reports filed between Dec. 14, 2020 and Mar. 26, 2021.
FYI – You can report adverse reactions to the COVID-19 vaccine here: https://www.cdc.gov/vaccinesafety/ensuringsafety/monitoring/vaers/index.html?fbclid=IwAR3xt3fSpEsq_IRTCH2g9aOABd8ErM1GBukXcccdIQ7ynYmtmESwCazGpcA

  2. Have to say I admire your stand for your body your choice.
My husband and we’re put on unpaid leave for refusal of the invasive nasal testing and requesting a saliva test. Our employer mandated testing on all employees without symptoms. Makes no sense!!!!!

    1. Do you know if the nasal swab has a chemical on the end of the swab? I am trying to find out and have had no luck so far. I would prefer the saliva test as well. The nasal swab is invasive – painful and I’ve heard of some who have had injuries from the swab.

      1. A nurse (I think the video was on Reddit) claimed that there are nanoparticles in the swab. She said it’s a silvery type thing, not the usual cotton swab. She also said she has Morgellons disease. I don’t trust them at all. This may be the link, I can’t view the video: https://www.reddit.com/user/aebniala/comments/lm9y9n/nasal_covid_swabs_with_nanoparticles_cause_brain/

Both these women who got fired need to sue their employers for violating the FDA rules that don’t force people to get the experimental “vaccine”.

  3. Luckily my job hasn’t tried to force that, at least not yet. But I too will not get the covid vaccine.

I’m sorry that these 2 women lost their jobs. I would talk to a lawyer and file a claim against them with EEOC.

  4. I would like an attorney to speak to this. I read that it is illegal under federal law to require anyone to take an experimental medical treatment for any reason.

    1. Please read the whole article before commenting. The article does state the facts. It clear states the FDA says it’s voluntary.

  5. I believe it is against the Nuremberg Code of 1948 to force someone to submit to a medical experament which is what this is.

  6. I hope these women are seeking counsel and filing lawsuits to retain their jobs and defend their rights. God bless America, land of the free, home of the brave….

  7. Vaccine must be voluntary !
    No vaccine on kids.
N1o way to force people tl use cure which 1more dangerous than diseas.1

  8. I wrote to Hempfield Behavioral Health to inform them that their vaccine requirement is in violation of the Nuremberg Code, as these vaccines remain experimental under the EUA. At least they might look it up and change their mind. More should do the same.

  9. I am proud of these women for taking a stand and not jumping off the cliff with the other sheep! This is NOT a vaccine and the government has no basis from science and numbers to enforce it. I am a 70 year old retired RN that chooses not to get the experimental drug injected into my system. So, I may limit my travels?… Oh, well?‍♀️

  10. What happens when the fda inevitably approves these and they no longer fall under EUA? All those talking points are null and void.
Also, the argument that she needs to be vaccinated because the patients cannot, can be debunked by the fact they are injecting everyone in the “high risk” category. So why would she need to be jabbed?

  11. I am a teacher, and its breakung my heart how my co-workers are flocking to get it. Meanwhile, I just tiptoe around not sharing what I am reading, because at this point, I feel out numbered.

  12. No job is more important than your freedom to make your own choices regarding your health and what the medical mafia wants to do to your body. I am sorry to hear that many employers have gone full tilt Communist by making these demands, but there must be some legal precedence that can be used to fight back. I fully support anyone who determines their freedom and future health is more important than pharma and government mandates and dictates.

  13. There has already been a case won on the behalf of an employee against her employer because the employer was holding her job hostage because she was refusing the COVID vaccine. It is against the law to try and force anyone to accept any medical procedure that is an EUA or is FDA unapproved.

  14. The Nuremberg Code is not a law. It has no force or effect. It’s principles may have served as a model for other codes or law, but it was not adopted by the United States or other nations. Look to other sources for informed consent.

  15. As a health care worker who deals with the public, they are required to comply with federal safety standards set by OSHA. Failure to be up-to-date on one’s vaccines is cause for termination.

  16. So, you’re supposed to be vaccinated because of “immune compromised patients and have a high risk of contracting the SARS-CoV-2 virus but are unable to get the vaccine for medical reasons.” Does that mean if you’re immune compromised, you can’t be a health care worker? Or does that only work if you’re a patient? Sounds pretty discriminatory to me. Time to find a lawyer and sue. That’s what we all will have to do if employers are going to mandate these experimental non-approved drugs. No life is better than another.

  17. These demons are going to blame those that refuse the experimental gene therapy for a “variant” they created by given vaccinated sheeple the virus. Then they will mandate the experimental money making therapy for evil gates, killer Faucci, orange chump and others that have stocks in something evil gates SAID would KILL a lot of ppl.

  18. Pennsylvania is an at will employer. Any employer can mandate requirements for employment in our state. It is just a matter of time before it is mandated nationwide with no way out. It is so very sad . Our American citizens will be forced but the illegals will have more rights.

  19. That is correct Joan. No one from Mexico gets tested, but can get welfare.. it’s over for the USA and freedom.

    1. If you donate blood, they don’t even test your blood for the elusive and has never been isolated covid ‘virus’. That seems to show they aren’t too worried about it either.

  20. If more people being fired will file law suits this will bring this issue into the forefront.
Employer’s should not be able to bully employees into taking any drug or vaccine as a condition of employment.
Threatening a person with loss of employment for not being willing to take a vaccine should be outlawed. As it stands if the employer or the drug / vaccine manufacturer are not willing to take liability or responsibility for a fatal or severe adverse reactions and medical care, loss of wages and possible disability caused by their product , then the recipients should have the choice to refuse it as well. I hope this woman sues her employer for her rights this is an EUA injection.

  21. Where oh where are all the lawyers? They come out of the woodwork for any variety of offenses, and here we have an abundance of lawsuits of every imaginable flavor a variety just being left to rot on the vine. What gives?

  22. Any medical procedure from a medicine to an injection should be a choice, not a mandate, especially with Experimental procedures.

  23. I just got terminated from my job because I didn’t get the experimental vaccine.
13 years with the company, 2 weeks to decide to comply with the “vaccine mandate”, and 15 days of working around my so called “disability “.
