Brazilian Doctor Dies Participating in AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 Vaccine Clinical Trial

Brazilian Doctor Dies Participating in AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 Vaccine Clinical Trial

Story Highlights

  • A COVID-19 vaccine trial participant, who was a physician working with COVID-19 patients at hospitals in Brazil, has reportedly died from coronavirus infection complications.
  • It has not been confirmed, but sources indicate the victim was given the trial “placebo” (a meningococcal vaccine) and not the experimental AZD1222 vaccine developed by pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca and Oxford University.
  • In September, AstraZeneca temporarily halted its COVID-19 vaccine trials when a participant developed inflammation of the spinal cord after vaccination in one of its trials in the United Kingdom.

A 28-year-old physician volunteer in Brazil, who was participating in a Phase 3 clinical trial of the experimental AZD1222 (formerly ChAdOx1 nCoV-19) for COVID-19 developed by AstraZeneca plc and Oxford University, died on Oct. 15, 2020. Early reports did not specify whether he had received the AZD1222 vaccine or a meningitis vaccine used as a “placebo.” It has since been reported that the man did receive the meningococcal vaccine used as a placebo in the trial instead of the experimental coronavirus vaccine, although no official confirmation has been released by AstraZeneca, which has cited privacy concerns for not making more information available to the public.1

The Brazilian National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) released a statement saying, “according to national and international regulations on good clinical practices, data on clinical research volunteers must be kept confidential, in accordance with the principles of confidentiality, human dignity, and protection of participants.”2 However, the Brazilian newspaper O Globo reported that the victim was a physician working with COVID-19 patients at three hospitals in Brazil and died from complications arising from an infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus. That information has been verified by other sources and the deceased has been identified as Joao Pedro Feitosa of Rio de Janeiro.3

“Laypersons Are Being Given Information They Can’t Understand”

In the comment section to Medscape’s article, “Brazil Confirms Death of Volunteer in COVID-19 Vaccine Trial,”4 which is limited to commentators from the medical community, the source was chastised for publishing a “misleading and inflammatory headline,” for adding to public confusion and creating possible misgivings about a future COVID-19 vaccine because “laypersons are being given information they cannot understand” and for fear mongering in reporting on the death at all when so much was unknown.

Several commenters alluded to the victim’s status as a front-line health care worker, noting that he was likely exposed to higher viral loads than other trial volunteers and that “those getting large repeated viral load inoculum no matter their health status is a huge risk the virus will just over run their immune system before it can even mount a appropriate response.” It was further suggested that this doctor might not have been a suitable candidate for the trial at all at this stage because his close contact with COVID-19 patients from three different hospitals would have put him at risk for a much higher than usual viral load.

Many Unknowns About the COVID-19 Vaccine Trial Participant Who Died

One person who commented on the Medscape article pointed out that, in addition to unconfirmed assumptions about whether the deceased volunteer was in the experimental or placebo arm of the trial, other questions also remain. It is not known, for example, whether other than his profession that made him more vulnerable to being infected with SARS-CoV-2 virus infection, the participant had underlying health conditions that placed him at high risk for COVID-19 complications. There is also no information about the timeline between his potential exposure relative to receiving the meningitis “placebo” vaccine injection or between injection and death. No details are yet known about the cause of death, aside from the attribution to “complications of COVID-19” and it is not known whether he mounted any type of antibody or other immune system response to the coronavirus infection.

Further, there is little information about the type of meningococal vaccine “placebo” the physician was given in the trial and a potential interaction between his apparent SARS-Cov2 viral infection and the administration of a meningitis vaccine that could have caused a serious adverse response.

The Clinical Trial in Brazil is Expected to Continue

In a public statement, Oxford University said, “All significant medical incidents, whether participants are in the control group or the COVID-19 vaccine group, are independently reviewed. Following careful assessment of this case in Brazil, there have been no concerns about safety of the clinical trial and the independent review in addition to the Brazilian regulator have recommended that the trial should continue.”5

AstraZeneca’s Phase 3 trials on the AZD1222 vaccine had been halted last month when a trial participant developed inflammation of the spinal cord after vaccination in the United Kingdom. That trial was resumed in the U.K. after a review by Britain’s Medicines Health Regulatory Authority (MHRA). The trial on AZD1222 vaccine in the United States remains on hold pending an investigation by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).6

AZD1222 (formerly ChAdOx1 nCoV-19) uses a genetically engineered adenovirus that causes common cold symptoms in chimpanzees (ChAdOx1 – chimpanzee adenovirus Oxford 1) and contains the genetic material of the SARS-CoV-2 virus surface spike protein. The AZD1222 vaccine induces production of the coronavirus surface spike protein, priming the immune system to attack the coronavirus if it later infects the body and causes COVID-19 disease.7

No adenovirus-based vaccine has been successfully developed for use in humans, and questions have been raised about the approach.8 9

They can spin it all they want but seems they’re backpeddling to me and doing damage control. In a proper trial, a meningitis vaccine would NOT be a placebo … and the question(s) as to whether he may have been more susceptive due to his line of work should have/would have been determined BEFORE he was accepted into the trial. No real science here … and we’re supposed to be sold that a vaccine is the way to go. My response before this report was “NO” and will always continue to be “NO”.

they do this all the time

they use another vaccine as a placebo

or they inject the same adjuvants (aluminium, mercury, poly sorbet 80, immortal (cancer) cells and etc.

This vaccine is going to be the largest science experiment ever conducted on a mass level. Many people are going to die. I am a RN and will leave the field if forced to get this vaccine and will homeschool my kids as well. If this participant died from the meningitis vaccine that Vaccine needs to be looked at. Until the vaccine court assumes liability, there is no incentive to make safe vaccines. It’s unconscionable that when a participant dies the trial isn’t ended , completely unacceptable, I hope the other participants were notified someone died.

I hope that in time (hopefully within my lifetime) we will know a lot more about the real story. not just about the vaccine trials and this particular case, but about everything else surrounding this pandemy. It is unbelievable that we are geeting to a point where we cannot trust anything that is said or reported, and we even have to be skeptical of those who may truly have the correct information.

How can they possibly know how this vaccine will effect a human being several months or a year after innoculation ? And if they don’t know, how could it be declared *safe*?

Is it scientific and ethical to use another vaccine as a “placebo” rather than something inert for a control study? Do people know in advance what the “placebo” vaccine is?

No it’s not ethical to use anything other than saline as an inert placebo, however, they do it all the time. They either test a vaccine against another “known safe” vaccine, or they use aluminum as the placebo. It’s disgusting, illegal, criminal and everyone should be outraged. They lie so well after many years of practice so that no one knows that this takes place. They all have blood on their hands and I hope they all rot in hell.

This is exactly what’s going to happen to a whole lot more well intending human lab rats. Is anyone surprised? But gotta love the lame whitewash story just the same. “Not known if he died because of too much viral load exposure? Well I thought that was the point of vaxxing all these first responders. They’re going to be dropping like flies when it comes out for real. Does anyone believe it was the meningococcal placebo?? Hmmm

As I understand i, no successful vaccine for coronaviruses has been produced to date even with trials going on in 2020.

Why should we not at lest try using chloroquine or hydroxychloroquine early in symptoms when there has been success there. Pharmaceutical companies will not like using a $20 or so 50+ year treatment that has been used for arthritis for decades successfully. So let people die and use an expensive and ineffecttive vaccine instead?

Vaccines are not vitamins. If he got menigococcal vaccine while he continued to work ; that could have been enough to challenge his immune system & make him more vulnerable to Covid. Was he told that the “placebo” would be another vaccine and not sterile saline? Doubt it. Meningococcal vaccine is full of formaldehyde [carcinogen] and CRM ;a mutant diptheria toxin. This is nonscientific and criminal behavior on part of Astra Zeneca.

If a placebo has the potential of killing one of the research participants, it is one hell of a placebo. Goes to show that even “safe and effective” placebo vaccines can kill. Please hurry up with the corona virus vaccine, I can’t wait to try it.

Why wasn’t a saline or sugar solution used instead as a pure placebo as it should have been done. This is not a proper safety trial. This is why we are fighting over vaccine safety studies in the US and are labeled as anti-vaxxers. No we are not anti-vaxxers we are fighting for REAL SAFETY STUDES, We are trying to inform the public just how they are being lied to and are being censored to keep the public from hearing the real truth. If this trial was done properly we may have saved this young doctor’s life. This censorship by the deep state needs to be stopped and the truth needs to be heard by all the public. The real truth will come out and those lying to the public need to be severely punished in a court of law.

Censorship will continue because the media depends on drug companies for large portion of their ads; plus Rupert Murdoch owns CSL vaccine company in Australia, his son is a CEO at Merck, Google’s parent company is Alphabet [owns vaccine companies] and most of Congress invested in this as soon as they got the Covid news back in Feb-March. Meanwhile Gates & Zuckerburg salivate over having complete control of our health & freedoms by tracking us 24/7 , feeding us GMOs and putting up satellites to bathe us in 5G

WHY was someone who HAD Covid in the clinical trial??? I would think this would have disqualified him, and I would also think that if he did NOT have it prior to the trial, that they would have ensured that all the people in the trial were not ”exposed” to Covid, as I would think it would skew the results. Also, if he HAD Covid AND he was on the placebo, this info should have been released immediately. But what if they are lying, and he really WAS on the vaccine (not placebo) and he caught the covid from the vaccine? They would NOT want people to know that. I do NOT trust this. Also, I would think a doctor who is treating covid patients would not be a good candidate for the trial; you would think he would be needed elsewhere!

One point everyone needs to be aware of: There are MANY examples that following a vaccination, individuals may be at increased risk from having a more severe illness, should they become infected with some other infectious disease. Here are the first 3 examples that come to mind:

    1) Polio is more likely to cause paralysis if encountered in the month following a shot.

    2) Flu shots increase severity of symptoms if one then gets COVID

    3) Tetanus shots induce a drop in T-Cells, that peaks 14 days after the shot

It is likely that Dr. Feitosa would still be alive if he’d gotten a true saline placebo, instead of the meningitis vaccine — which itself was probably never tested for safety against a saline placebo. Too bad he wasn’t familiar with this published science:

Nothing that comes out of the mouth of a vaccine maker should be believed. They are liars now and have always been liars. Why do you think Fauci, back in 1985, when he was appointed by Reagan, pushed a liability exemption for vaccine companies through the Congress? Yes, the same Fauci that so many are now worshipping as if he was the second coming. The one that lies constantly. Yeah, that one.

Why would anyone get a SARS COV2 vaccine at all, since the “experts” keep telling us that antibodies to it only last a few weeks to a few months? Also, we’re being told that they believe there are several strains of it out there, so to which strain is one to be vaccinated against? This is one of those vaccines where it is better to get the disease, and be treated, than to get a vaccine for, imo.

The debunking of an earlier US military study wasn’t so much ID bunking but as a claim that the assertions didn’t have specific COVID-19 relevance. This current discussion is much more specific.

A 55% increase in COVID-19 mortality rates for a 10% increase in flu vaccine uptake.

Be aware and be informed in your decision making.

At the very least, all the bad news about how the various trials are going, which is not usually divulged, will alert the wider public to the fact that there is no such thing as an inert placebo in vaccine ‘science’, and that people can and do get very badly hurt by vaccines.
The public will also be alerted to the fact that the volunteers are a mostly-young group of the healthiest people on the planet, not a bit like most of us.

AstraZeneca, under a previous name was a partner in I.G. Farben, which developed and produced the poison gas for the German concentration camps. And, was involved in the medical experiments done by Mengale at Auschwitz, along with Bayer, Basf & two Rockefeller German chemical subsidiaries.

So, do you really believe that they have your best interests in mind or are in it for the money? If you said $$$$, you’d be right. If the vaccine maims or kills you, you can’t sue them by an act of Congress. Bill Gates, who is funding a lot of the vaccine development said that he expects the vaccines to kill around 700,000,000 people. That’s way more than the virus; but, his investments in it will make $billions. By the way, Fauci also has investments in the vaccines which will make him $millions. Can anyone say, “conflict of interest?”

Great comments by Sal. The medics seem to think it is not serious if someone dies and say now the trials are in a pause but not a stop with a big smile on their face……..talking around the obvious that for any virus as much as some people want to believe it, vaccines at best are ineffective. More than likely toxic and risky. DR. Mark Segal on fox news really spins it when he says ” I would be more afraid of this deadly infectious disease than the vaccine”. Hello Mark…it is not a fing disease and it is not DEADLY. Only to .03 percent of the population. These shots weaken the immune system. Telling people they will get healthier after a vaccine is outrageous.

On http://www.medscape.com, an article mentioned the volunteers are given 2 shots 45 days apart and are monitored within that time frame. The CDC had on their website an article about how scientists are using animal organs for vaccine development.

For those of you who believe in the word of God, there are many passages that speak about animals with different flesh as well as human flesh. I doubt that God approves the practice of injecting animal flesh/proteins into humans.
