Pfizer/BioNTech’s COVID-19 Vaccine Causes Adverse Reactions in Over Half of Clinical Trial Volunteers

In clinical trials of the experimental messenger RNA (ribonucleic acid) COVID-19 vaccine (BNT162b1), which is being developed by Pfizer, Inc. of New York and BioNTech SE of Mainz, Germany, adverse reactions have occurred in more than 50 percent of the adult participants. The Phase 1/2 human trials of BNT162b1 vaccine, which were conducted May-June 2020, involved 45 healthy adults between the ages of 18 and 55 years.1

In the trials, 12 of the adults were injected with a 10-microgram dose of the BNT162b1 vaccine, and 12 adults received a 30-µg dose, 12 a 100-µg dose, while nine adults were given a placebo of a sterile saline solution (0.9 percent sodium chloride injection, in a 0.5-mL dose). Within seven days after vaccination, seven (58.3 percent) of the participants in the 10-µg group reported adverse reactions (pain) near the injection site and 24–or 100 percent–in the 30-µg and 100-µg groups and two (22.2 percent) in the placebo group reported reactions. Severe pain was reported by one participant who received 100-µg dose.1 2

Three weeks after the initial vaccination with the BNT162b1 vaccine, each one of the clinical trial participants was given a second dose of the vaccine at the same dosage. Of the participants in the 10-µg group, 8.3 percent developed fevers. Of those in the 30-µg group, 75 percent developed fevers. More than 50 percent of the adults, who were given either a 10-µg or 30-µg dose, experienced an adverse reaction such as fever and sleep disturbances.1 2

Two participants suffered severe reactions. A Grade 3 fever of over 101.3°F two days after vaccination was experienced by one adult in the 30-µg group and sleep disturbance one day after vaccination was experienced by one adult in the 100-µg group.1 2

Grade 3 reactions are described by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as, “severe or medically significant but not immediately life-threatening; hospitalization or prolongation of hospitalization indicated; disabling; limiting self care” such as “bathing, dressing and undressing, feeding self, using the toilet, taking medications.”3

According to the published results of the trials for the BNT162b1 COVID-19 vaccine being developed by Pfizer and BioNTech:

The most common systemic events reported in the 7 days after each vaccination in both BNT162b1 and placebo recipients were mild to moderate fatigue and headache. Reports of fatigue and headache were more common in the BNT162b1 groups compared to placebo. Additionally, chills, muscle pain, and joint pain were reported among BNT162b1 recipients and not in placebo recipients. Systemic events increased with dose level and were reported in a greater number of subjects after the second dose (10 µg and 30 µg groups).2

There were no Grade 4 adverse reactions reported. HHS classifies Grade 4 reactions as “life-threatening.”2 3

The clinical trial found that the experimental BNT162b1 vaccine was successful in generating antibodies against the SARS-CoV-2 virus. A recent STAT article noted, that some of the antibodies had a neutralizing effect in that they “appear to prevent the virus from functioning.” But it also pointed out that it is unclear if these antibody neutralizing levels will produce immunity to SARS-CoV-2.1 2

Pfizer and BioNTech plan to conduct larger clinical studies on their BNT162b1 vaccine later this summer.1

  1. If it is causing adverse reactions just after having it just imagine what it is going to do to them as time goes by considering this is a rna vaccine.

  2. Our military personnel should not be used as guinea pigs. I got out the reserves when they were giving anthrax shots. Just say NO.

  3. Amazing….. they actually used a sterile saline solution as a placebo! (Or at least they claim they did in the study.) So for once the ‘placebo’ was actually a placebo!

I’ll never get another vaccine, and especially not a DNA-scrambling vaccine, but I have to give them a tiny bit of credit for not being as fraudulent as usual in a vaccine study! Assuming they’re telling the truth, which is a bad assumption with Pharma.

They do admit that they didn’t track adverse events past 2 weeks, and with vaccines the worst effects often happen longer-term. Especially when you’re talking about genetic damage with these new GMO-human vaccines.

    1. Correct. Another company used meningitis vaccine for control group. They say it upfront as if that’s fine!

  4. Absolutely against these vaccinations. This weaponized virus is a ploy for control over all people by a small group of control freaks that thin they know what is best for us. WRONG….

    1. I don’t want or trust the vaccine. Funny thing today the rang me asking me to come for a flu Jab and I told them I don’t want it. Since I don’t trust it. I said I don’t want the Corona virus vaccine either as I don’t trust it. Doctor said they don’t deal with that

  5. What worries, me is even though Trump says it won’t be mandated Federally, what about States? Are there any States out there that won’t force it or can we fight this to the United States Supreme court?

  6. Metro refuse to publish the actual death rate for Covid – it is so low that it wouldn’t make a fear-inducing headline. Any comment attaching a link to a scientific paper that shows masks do not prevent viral infections is called ‘abuse’. The doctors and scientist are trying to speak out but their platforms are being shut down – it is up to all of us to keep retweeting, posting on f/b and directing as many people as possible to the sites that are not censored – Bitchute has videos from Dr Vernon Coleman a British GP that has fought tirelessly for decades to warn the public about vaccines. He doesn’t hold back but presents his case with wit, humour and a burning truth that cuts through all the lies and distortions we are subjected to daily. 7. Our bodies best defense is our own immune system. Keep it strong with vitamin C, zinc, and vitamin D3. Our bodies respond by giving it the proper tools to do so. Vaccines are harmful, Don’t work, and our bodies don’t know what to do with the poisons.

  8. I appreciate the emails from this website and the perspective it offers. And I’m biased – skeptical towards vaccines – my children remain unvaccinated, and I have no intention of consenting to receive the forthcoming product.

But, please, my fellow humans, brothers & sisters – let’s try and be sober; clear-minded. The headline of this article is alarmist and near an exaggeration. I tell my kids that exaggeration is [often] the same as lying, certainly in its effects.

And the comments thus far are just chatter – amens and such from the loyal congregation. But please remember that we must resist carrying the same type of bias that we find so distasteful in others. The reporting needs to be truthful and as biting and alarmist as necessary, yet beyond reproach.

The article plays it mostly straight with the facts, but the headline betrays a willingness to bend the truth. I don’t mean to be a nuisance, but I just think we can do better than this.

  9. Study used 45 healthy people Ages between 18 and 45…the vaccine if for a virus that generally has caused a low % of deaths of Cases, and those deaths primarily in older adults with health conditions. that tells me what I need to know before you even take into account the adverse effects.

  10. They only tested for adverse reactions to the vaccine, not how the volunteers seact when introduced to the live virus, because studies have shown through other vaccines that this is when grade 4 reactions, and even mortalities occur, when tested in animals…

  11. We desperately need the freedom to choose as that vaccine could have some very deleterious on many of us, cause chronic disease even shorten your life span. How do we do this now?

  12. So, was there actually a saline placebo used? Was the placebo group eventually given the vaccine as oftentimes happens? I’m just curious as I know several people who have signed up for the Pfizer trial in Memphis…
