Historically, health care providers administer routine vaccines in primary care doctors’ offices or retail pharmacies. Over the past decade, several U.S. states authorized licensed dentists to administer vaccines during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now public health officials are evaluating proposals to permanently allow dental practices to routinely administer vaccines and provide vaccine education to patients. The initial targeted vaccines are for respiratory illnesses like COVID-19, as well as Human Papillomavirus (HPV) linked to certain oral cancers.1 2
To measure how the public perceives this idea, researchers at the University of Pennsylvania recently designed a survey and published the study in Frontiers in Oral Health. The research team tested an earlier 22-question pilot questionnaire, combining quantitative statistical data with qualitative feedback from Philadelphia patient focus groups.3
Tamara Cadet, PhD, MPH, an associate professor at the University of Pennsylvania, and lead investigator supported by the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) funding, explained the primary goal:
The primary aim was to conduct an initial validation of the questionnaire. But we also wanted to further understand perceptions of dentist involvement in vaccine efforts.4
By running factor analyses and incorporating focus group feedback, the scientists reduced the survey length by 25 percent to 16 final items. Tyler Moore, PhD, a research assistant professor at Penn Medicine, described the intent behind the redesign:
We kept the most informative questions and made the language clearer for patients. The result is a short, valid tool that can help us understand and address why some people still question whether dentists should be involved in vaccination.5
Public Skepticism and Patient Resistance
Focus group results revealed widespread public hesitation and explicit opposition regarding vaccinations delivered in dental practices. Study participants expressed reluctance that varied depending on the specific vaccine offered. Notably, respondents displayed significantly greater resistance and opposition toward receiving an HPV vaccine from a dental provider than receiving a COVID-19 shot in the same setting. Researchers noted that a general lack of public information surrounding HPV contributes to this opposition, as many patients do not associate the virus with the head, neck, and throat cancers that dentists screen for during oral exams.6 7
Advocates believe letting dentists give vaccines improves healthcare by building on existing dentist-patient relationships, but the survey results show that many patients remain opposed to the idea. Arguing for why the goal of vaccinating patients in dental offices is important, Dr. Cadet explained:
Expanding the scope of dentistry to include vaccine education and administration could increase access to care, vaccine uptake, and disease prevention.8
Public Health Implications
Since Americans visit their dentists more frequently than their primary care doctors, the study authors emphasized that dental clinics offer a prime opportunity to boost national vaccination rates. They believe that public health experts need validated survey tools to accurately measure how patients view dentists delivering preventive care and that testing these surveys directly within local communities allows researchers to actively engage the public and gather key feedback to design better vaccine education programs.9
If future survey data shows strong patient support, the researchers suggest that advocates can present these findings to state legislators to expand the legal right for dentists to vaccinate patients.10

They’re pushing things too far here. People are not getting vaccinated because the Covid jabs kill. I have lost friends to cardiac arrest and now, turbo cancers. But big Pharma needs to make their money so they’re going all in. If my dentist starts requiring it, I won’t be getting my teeth cleaned anymore. Lots of people will stop going to the dentist, will which cause a decline in better health. But they don’t care. It’s all about money. 🙁

You are absolutely right. This is one of the most outlandish things I’ve ever heard, and I will not participate. Next it will be veterinarians administering vaccines. When Mom was nearing retirement, I wondered why ALL of the talk about Medicare plans and which to choose. Then realized it’s the continuation of the United States’ sick model. Wellness isn’t our focus, its prescriptions and doctor visits.

As far as getting your teeth goes, there might be a better alternative to find a dental hygienist who is willing to work with patients when it comes to declining vaccines. It’s going to be expensive. I’m hoping Robert F Kennedy Jr would stop the madness.
Dental surgeons can vaccinate you while you are under anesthesia. Saw that while stationed in Europe during COVID. They didn’t feel obligated to tell you unless you asked.

Years ago I received a steady flow of information from various professional organizations that promoted fitness professionals vaccinating individuals in various places, such as health fairs. I pray the masses continue to wake up. I am continually meeting with individuals that are hearing information for the first time. This is why I support the NVIC.
I don’t think that dentists performing vaccinations would be wise. Dentists are not as up-to-date on vaccine application, interactions and reactions as medical doctors are. Vaccinations are simply not in a dentist’s wheelhouse.
True, vaccines are not in a dentist’s wheelhouse. However, don’t think doctors are informed, either. Many a doctor has said they don’t learn about vaccines in med school. They learn the schedule and that’s it, nothing about the ingredients or side effects. Not surprising since pHarma has captured med education, both med school and continuing education.

How is one to know whether one is receiving something else in addition to numbing? Even if a person does not consent, they might get something they do not want. Mistakes happen. Vials get mixed up. People do not read carefully these days. And, here again, as with the ACA “debates”, the focus is on access and rates of uptake—not really on what constitutes health and a healthy upright being.

Other potential program participants that could expand their scope of practice to also deliver vaccines might also include legal professionals, paralegal assistants, from chiropractic to janitorial, from sports to horticultural industries, even fashion and design, the potential penetration into other commercial and even industrial applications, sky is the limit for the potential profit which rides alongside certifying non medical persons to become vaccine administrators.
This reminds me of a really amazing thing that happened to me recently while strolling along a mountain trail in the RNMP Rocky Mountain National Park area. This was the perfect cool slightly breezy sunny day for an outing as we fished along the rivers edge. We were so lucky to be there on that day. I happened to have looked down to the earth momentarily, and to my surprise, there lied a really interesting rock. This rock was just the right size for me to pick up and examine, it’s glimmering qualities with slight moss cover was quite interesting. Upon further examination I noticed this rock had many different types of stone and mineral compositions, light refractions, and so on and so forth. Obviously the stone was calling me to take it home for further admiration and examination.
This moment was so magical in my life journey. When I picked that rock up something flowed through me like lightning. I instantaneously knew everything about geology, the types of stone, igneous, sedimentary, metamorphic, their related mineral compositions and such, I gazed back in time and truly understood how the landscape was formed, I felt one with the planet earth itself. The volume of knowledge and wisdom which flowed to me on that day, simply incredible. In that moment I actually became a qualified geologist with an eight year specialized degree in the subject matter. I became competent in practice theory and application in an instant. I’m so proud that the dental community will get to experience a similar miraculous transition in their lives too.
The American Academy of Pediatrics is a criminal organization that should be brought up on RICO charges. I’m sure the ADA is just as spineless and will look any new sources of revenue despite the health impact.

It’s already bad enough that visiting a physician’s office is one massive struggle session as the medical assistant or nurse practitioner goes through a litany of tests, drugs, etc., when you are there to focus on a particular need. I don’t think this will help people keep up with their dental appointment schedule. Just one more thing to pay for that is less of a customer service.

Why I believe this is an easy NO!
Lack of Dentist’s appropriate education for supporting this role: Dental education is not the same as medical education. I do not think they have genetic education, a much needed background for comprehension of the mRNA technology and implications for systemic diffusion throughout the body with multi system impacts. And medical doctors only have minimal vaccine education and mostly pharmaceutical driven content.
Inadequately educated and trained personnel: Inability to manage informed consent, patient education and administration of injection of vaccine, routine assessment as well as emergency assessment and response skills to support patient with severe reactions.
No patient medical records to consult: for history of patient health issues, drugs taken or review for red flags against administration of different or multiple viral doses at the same time.
Liability coverage would drive up the costs of the practice and might trickle down to the dental patient.
Patient Advocacy: Who gets this role, Who looks out for the patient?
As nurses, we have been educated to have a solid foundation which supports our practice of patient care, patient rights, patient advocacy, adherence to professional standards including competency -based skill performance insuring patient safety.
Currently, I am not aware of any skilled staff able to meet the basic criteria for the above issues supporting patients in the dental setting.
All people deserve more than a “shot and go vaccine” when personal choice, safety and human rights are sacrificed.
All mRNA technology should be banned under the category of vaccines.

My thoughts align with many of these posters. If my dentist begins offering ANY KIND OF VACCINES , I will not go there anymore after 30 years with one of the top dentists in the U.S.

Up until the plandemic I was a licensed Physical Therapist in both Alaska and Colorado. During the C-19 craziness Colorado was pushing PTs to administer the jab! Alaska did not push this insanity. So I dropped my Colorado PT license which I had for 19 years and will never practice in that whacked out state. Let the free market decide.

denist don’t have your medical or vaccine records. if a dentist advertised they do vaccine, I will find another dentist. I don’t go to Walmart, walgreens, jewl, Mario. because they advertised they vaccinate.
