American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists Withdraws from ACIP

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) recently announced its withdrawal as a liaison organization from the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP). The Association cited recent changes that have been made to the new ACIP committee, which the medical trade organization alleges undermines scientific integrity and evidence-based care.1

Steven Fleischman, MD, MBA, president of ACOG, said, “ACOG has always been committed to evidence-based medicine and to the health and safety of our patients. For decades, we have proudly participated in ACIP to ensure that vaccine recommendations are grounded in rigorous scientific evidence and protect the health of pregnant women, children, and families.”1

Fleischman added:

The recent reconstitution of the committee; the removal of ACOG experts from ACIP workgroups; and HHS’ unilateral changes to vaccine recommendations, which bypassed established scientific and clinical processes, represent a fundamental departure from the scientific rigor and impartiality that have been the hallmark of this committee for 60 years.1

A press release from ACOG stated that the 75 year-old medical trade organization, which represents doctors providing health care for women, has consistently developed evidence-based clinical guidance on vaccination during pregnancy that is grounded in decades of rigorous research. and maintained that ACOG research confirms the safety and efficacy of vaccination during pregnancy.1

ACOG Accuses ACIP of Cherry Picking Data, Ignoring Peer Reviewed Research

ACOG claims that in recent months, the ACIP has ignored peer-reviewed reports on vaccine safety, cherry picked data without full scientific context and changed the CDC vaccine schedule without regard to expert input.

“These actions threaten to undermine public confidence in immunizations that have saved countless lives and prevented immeasurable suffering,” the ACOG news release stated. The organization plans to continue developing evidence-based guidance on immunizations based on scientific data and in collaboration with other leading medical trade organizations like ACOG.1

ACOG Recommends Four Vaccines During Pregnancy Including COVID Vaccine

ACOG promotes vaccination during pregnancy as an essential part of prenatal care,2 despite a lack of safety data for pregnant women. The current ACOG recommendation is that women receive the following vaccines during pregnancy:

  • Influenza
  • tetanus toxoid, reduced diphtheria toxoid, and acellular pertussis (Tdap)
  • COVID-19
  • and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV)

Including pregnant women in clinical vaccine safety trials has been considered unethical due to potential risks to both the mother and baby during a critical period for the developing fetus. It was only in 2018 that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued recommendations for including women in clinical trials for drugs, including biologicals like vaccines.3

2016 Amendment Prevents Lawsuits for Vaccine Reactions During Pregnancy

Some doctors have pointed out that the push for women to get vaccines during pregnancy seems to coincide with an amendment to the 1986 National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act that was included in the 21st Century Cures Act passed by Congress at the end of 2016.4

This amendment offers a shield of liability to drug companies that produce CDC-recommended vaccines for pregnant women—an expansion of the originally 1986 act that initially only covered childhood vaccine injuries.3

ACOG has separated itself from ACIP, claiming the advisory committee has strayed from evidence-based practices. At the same time, ACOG has not fully addressed published research that raises questions about the long-standing “safe and effective” framing of vaccines by federal agencies. For example, a CDC-funded study reported an association between flu vaccination in early pregnancy and a higher risk of miscarriage, estimating the increase to be as much as eightfold in some cases.3

Considerations for Vaccination During Pregnancy

In the 2013 article, “Vaccination During Pregnancy: Is it Safe?”3 Barbara Loe Fisher, co-founder and president of the National Vaccine Information Center, lists 10 considerations for vaccine safety during pregnancy including:5

  1. Drug companies did not test the safety and effectiveness of giving influenza vaccine to pregnant women before the vaccines were licensed in the U.S.
  2. Data on inflammatory and other biological responses to vaccination during pregnancy that could affect pregnancy and birth outcomes are still lacking. For example, it’s still unknown whether the influenza vaccine can cause fetal harm or affect your reproductive capacity, which is why the vaccine manufacturer product inserts state that the influenza vaccine should be given to a pregnant woman only if it’s “clearly needed.”
  3. The biological mechanisms of how maternal vaccination affects the immune and neurological systems of mother and child are not known. Loe Fisher points out, “There are no published biological mechanism studies that assess pre-vaccination health status and measure changes in brain and immune function and chromosomal integrity after vaccination of pregnant women or their babies developing in the womb.”
  4. There are very few studies comparing health outcomes between pregnant women and their children who receive the flu vaccine and those who do not.

American Academy of Pediatrics Splits from ACIP

In addition to ACOG, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) a medical trade organization representing doctors who administer vaccines to infants and children, also withdrew from participating in the ACIP in January.6 The AAP stated they will continue to publicly make recommendations about use of multiple vaccines during childhood immunization against 18 diseases rather than follow the new U.S. ACIP recommended vaccination schedule that is modeled after the schedule used in Denmark, which recommends vaccination against 11 diseases.7

  1. Pediatrics is a specialty that should die on the vine. When I was a kid, they were no pediatricians. And there were also no autism. There was almost no obesity and there was no allergies. It’s interesting to note who has damaged more people pediatricians with their vaccines or dentists with their mercury fillings.

    1. Family Practice Physicians can take care of children as they had done for years. All the well-child visits are scheduled for the vaccines. Too many unnecessary trips to the doctor’s office.

    2. As a lifelong victim of mercury fillings, vaccines, and SSRI’s, I salute you for your comment. Thank you.

    3. Come to think of it, yeah, we all used to see one family doctor. It was the same guy for everyone. Who is out there still believing that all these recommendations are purely scientific and honest? Obviously these decisions are profit based not health based. They back into whatever reasoning is necessary to achieve the predetermined conclusion of selling more vaccines, always expanding the schedule.

All too many are hypnotized from repetitive messaging through their entire lives and careers within the medical industrial complex. The never ending pressure campaign on patients and each other as well. The routine is to instill doubt in people, while talking from a supposed position of authority, pressure them to go along. Refuse services and discriminate if they do not. Ethics left the building some time ago. They’re indebted to the system, their insurance, their pension, nobody dares even stand up anymore. A well oiled machine with many moving parts.

The fear based messaging really gets deep inside of people, forms them into true believers. Likewise intimidates dissenters into a code of silence. It’s sad to see how people whom are qualified and intelligent enough to come to alternative conclusions, whom are capable of reading the data on the other side outside of their trusted inner circle, grip so dearly to the status quo narrative. They’re definitely immunized from alternative conclusions and more rational view points based on truthful rather than manufactured science, that’s for sure. The centuries old cut of vaccination believers carries on another day. They are true believers.

Good, let the network break and splinter into a thousand pieces, carried to the four winds. This is progress. Central planning never works.

      1. ACOG says, “These actions threaten to undermine public confidence in immunizations that have saved countless lives and prevented immeasurable suffering,” but the truth is “immunizations have TAKEN countless lives and CAUSED immeasurable suffering”🥺

    4. I agree. I was born in 51 and rarely saw the doctor. 5 siblings and we only saw him when we had a problem like measles, tonsillitis etc. Didn’t even see him when we all had chicken pox. I grew up on an island in the Bronx where hundreds of kids lived and none died from any childhood disease. I did get airborne allergies in the mid 80s.

    5. The ACOG… There’s nothing like doubling down on a bad position. They lack the information to back up their decisions, but that is unimportant to them. They say they are evidence-based and scientifically backed? Prove it.

Dr Steven Klayman makes many valid points.

I know that the farther I am removed from vaccines, the healthier I become. Ever since my marriage I have been an advocate of vaccine choice. The ACOG wants to bully you into their vaccine schedule, which should tell you that you and your safety are not a priority… the business of their doctors is what is being protected here. Shame on them.

  2. When I was pregnant back in the day, I received no vaccinations and took no medication. I find it mind boggling that doctors are ok with these things now.

    1. I agreee 100% as it was the same for me. There used to be the general rule that pregnant women are not given/do not accept vaccinations and that they avoid ALL medications for the sake of the health and development of her child. Yes, the new approach is completely mind-boggling! Why create an increased chance for harm including miscarriage?

  3. Big pharma owns the puppets of these medical associations except for a very few. It took many many years to get physicians to stop bloodletting and for surgeons to stop mocking the necessity of sterilyzing their instruments. Pride and arrogance are in abundance in so many ‘professional’ medical men and women. May the Guardian Angels assigned by God to protect our children , protect them from these harmful stubborn people.

  4. Well thank goodness ACOG withdrew from ACIP. The fact they recommended the Cov shot to pregnant women is medical malpractice. Scientific evidence shows it never should’ve been recommended to pregnant women, babies and children just to name a few.

    1. Yep, as soon as I saw that – I knew which side they were on! Hope these organizations disolved themselves. They are not for the best interest of the patient and that includes the American academy of Pediatrics- the worse- killing our babies two or three vaccines at a time! Its clear who their allegiance is to and its not to parents or their babies.

  5. How hypocritical that the ACOG is withdrawing due to concerns the ACIP is undermining scientific integrity and evidence-based care. One wonders where the ACOG has been the last 30 years when vaccines have been imposed upon pregnant women without any evidence of safety, efficacy or necessity. I suggest the ACOG is exposing themselves for who they really are – propagandists for the vaccine industry.

  6. Is this guy serious????
Steven Fleischman, MD, MBA, president of ACOG, said, “ACOG has always been committed to evidence-based medicine and to the health and safety of our patients. For decades, we have proudly participated in ACIP to ensure that vaccine recommendations are grounded in rigorous scientific evidence and protect the health of pregnant women, children, and families.”
Show us the ‘rigorous scientific evidence’ behind the COVID shot, AND justifying giving it to pregnant women! Would love to see it. Just because the CDC took a few shots off the recommended schedule doesn’t mean they aren’t available to anyone who wants them. Let people do their own research and decide what is best for them. It’s not like the doctors or drug companies will take responsibility if a ‘recommended’ shot causes harm!

  7. How can they recommend vaccines for pregnant women when they’ve rarely been studied because of safety concerns? What a bunch of hypocrites, good riddance. I’m a retired pediatric nurse. My children were both born in the sixties, no vaccines were given to me. I had very healthy pregnancies and only took prenatal vitamins. I even remarked to my daughter when she was pregnant about all the numerous testing, sonograms and things she couldn’t eat was amazing. She and her friends had more problem pregnancies than I had witnessed or heard about during the 60’s.
We have a more poor outcomes compared to other countries and more stillbirths since Covid.

  8. The ACOG… There’s nothing like doubling down on a bad position. They lack the information to back up their decisions, but that is unimportant to them. They say they are evidence-based and scientifically backed? Prove it.

Dr Steven Klayman makes many valid points.

  9. ACOG needed to run from ACIP because they don’t have a scientific leg to stand on, rather, when mindless, cult-like adherence to ‘claims’ is subjected to respectful, thoughtful challenge, debate, and discussion (the scientific method) they’re stuck like deer in headlights: mentally frozen, so without the ability to reason on their position, they simply cry and leave the debate rather than present double-blind placebo studies to try and prove their argument. If anyone wonders why so many MD’s are stuck in this mindset, just watch the MD’s Del Bigtree has interviewed on The Highwire, and they all atest to the fact that in medical school and residency, ‘questioning authority and established practices’ is never tolerated….

  10. I totally concur with all of you! Vaccines are nothing more than a money maker for big pharma! Looking out for true health of people is never really at the heart of what they do :0(
    Shame on them all!!!

  11. I thought the physicians says there is no cure for HSV 2!!! I am telling you today that DR.UMA cure HSV 2 with his herbal medicine and once you get cured you are cured forever it is never reversible, I have been suffering for this deadly disease called HSV 2 for more than 2years and I lost all hope because my doctor says there is no cure for HSV 2. Brethren I saw a testimony on the internet on how DR.UMA cure HSV, Hapatitis etc with his herbal medication and an email and watsapp to contact him was also displayed, I thought this was a joke but I decided to contact him and he replied telling me not to worry that my problem is over . DR.UMA sent me a herbal medication to drink for one month but only 2weeks I feel strange and I went to my doctor and he confirmed me negative. He can help you too. Contact him via email…[email protected] WhatsApp +2347035619585. He is capable of curing AUTISM, HERPES, HPV, HSV1&2, HEPATITIS A B C, and DIABETES.

  12. I already gave up on ever getting cured of HSV2 because i have try many treatment none of them work out for me i have gone to different hospital they always tell me the same thing there is no cure for herpes, when i came across a post about Dr UMA in the net from a lady called Angela i contacted her and she reassured me with his herbal medicine which i took according to the way he instructed, that how i was cured. I doubted at first because i have been to a whole lot of reputable doctors, tried a lot of medicines but none was able to cure me. so i decided to listen to him and he commenced treatment, and under. two weeks i was totally free from Herpes. i want to say a very big thank you to DR UMA for what he has done in my life. feel free to leave him a message on email [email protected] or also Whats-app him +2347035619585.. he also cure all this 1.HIV 2.HIV HPV 3 .ALS 4. BED WETTING DIABETES.,

  13. Also, the AAP hides behind the fact that they are protecting the large pediatric chain practices doctors, who likely make millions each year from big Pharma if they can achieve 95% vaccine rates in their “honerable profession” of poisoning of our children.
