Texas Attorney General Investigates Doctors Receiving Money Incentives to Vaccinate Children

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton recently announced that his office has opened an investigation into financial incentives connected to doctors administering vaccines to children. Paxton said the probe will examine pediatricians, insurers, vaccine manufacturers, and other entities that may have engaged in deceptive or unlawful conduct by failing to disclose financial incentives tied to the administration of childhood vaccines.1

Allegations of Financial Pressure on Families

The Attorney General’s office said some pediatric practices dismiss families and remove them from their patient rolls if parents do not strictly adhere to a recommended vaccine schedule for their children. The office also stated that physicians may receive bonuses tied to maintaining high vaccination rates among their patient base.

An investigation found that heath insurers have offered bonus payments that can reach as high as $400 per child as an incentive for doctors and other vaccine providers to vaccinate pediatric patients. Other reports have described reimbursement structures, performance metrics, and value-based care arrangements that link physician compensation to high vaccination rate benchmarks, raising questions about whether financial considerations may influence medical guidance provided to parents.2

Paxton Issues Civil Investigative Demands

Paxton is issuing civil investigative demands seeking documents and information related to vaccine related incentive structures, including contracts, reimbursement arrangements, bonus programs, and performance metrics tied to childhood vaccination rates. The demands are directed at pediatric providers, insurance companies, and vaccine manufacturers involved in the administration or financing of childhood vaccines in the United States.

Companies receiving civil investigative demands include UnitedHealthcare and Pfizer. Paxton said the investigation will examine whether financial incentives were used to influence medical decision making or pressure providers to promote vaccines without adequate disclosure to parents. He stated that his office intends to expose any provider or entity whose medical guidance is driven by financial incentives rather than patient welfare.3

UnitedHealthcare Bonus Program Disclosed

UnitedHealthcare previously stated in a document that physicians were eligible for bonuses when patients received vaccines against tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, and human papillomavirus. The document was removed after publication of the investigation.

The Epoch Times reported that UnitedHealthcare and Pfizer did not respond to requests for comment.4

Insurer Incentives and Vaccine Profitability

While some studies have found vaccination programs can be profitable under certain reimbursement models, other surveys of physicians suggest that some pediatric practices lose money on vaccines due to low reimbursement rates, staffing requirements, and storage costs. Other reports have stated that pediatricians do not profit from administering vaccines and that vaccination recommendations are solely based on proven safety and effectiveness.5

Lawsuit Filed Against Pediatric Trade Group

Children’s Health Defense (CHD), recently filed a lawsuit against the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) alleging violations of federal law related to the promotion of the childhood vaccine schedule. The complaint cited insurer bonus programs and referenced a 2024 report stating that under value-based care models, pediatricians may receive a significant portion of their compensation based on performance metrics, including childhood and adolescent immunization rates.6

Paxton has previously launched investigations into Pfizer for allegedly misrepresenting the effectiveness of its COVID-19 shot and into toothpaste manufacturers for marketing practices related to fluoride. His case against Pfizer was dismissed in 2024. The toothpaste investigation resulted in companies agreeing to redesign packaging.7

  1. This disgusting practice has been going on for a long time. And, it’s not just among children in a practice it is also in regards to everyone. Most doctors income come from strategies in regards to how many of their patients they can “con” into getting as many meds and vaccines as possible,. It’s big business, emphasis on the word business. There are conventions in which doctors are taught how do promote pharmaceuticals and various procedures to enhance their income. This is a real thing. It basically is trying to make as many patients into a “cash cow” as possible..

    1. It’s all about profit, not our well being. It’s outrageously disgusting. I despise allopathic medical doctors.

  2. We have had two pediatricians office fire us because we refuse to have the vaccines the way they want us to have them. This isn’t made up. It’s going on right and left. There are many many families in our circles who have been fired from those same pediatric offices and others.

  3. We have had two pediatricians office fire us because we refuse to have the vaccines the way they want us to have them. This isn’t made up. It’s going on right and left. There are many many families in our circles who have been fired from those same pediatric offices and others.

  4. I fire the medical providers who push and try to con me into taking drugs or procedures I don’t need. Why wait until they fire you? it looks better when WE fire them. Then we can leave the doctor a bad review online, after we have gotten copies of all the medical records we might need. If we let them fire us, then their defense is that we were bad people and so , see, they had to ban us from their practice. Since bad medical practices lie about things, if you stay with them, you risk having them make up false accusations about you and your family, to try to make you look bad. Dishonest employees, for instance, can easily claim that we defiant patients have hit them and pushed them down, even when we did no such thing. Their bosses force desperate workers to lie in order to keep their jobs. It’s almost impossible to prove that nothing happened, when greed heads falsely accuse you of something. It’s best to get out as soon as you notice that they are demanding compliance, long before they make trouble for you.

  5. I, too, was fired from my daughter’s first pediatrician. She was pushing full vaccines plus a flu shot at 4 weeks old. I explained I used to work in the vaccine production field, new exactly what the ingredients were and the side effects, therefore making the choice to go vaccine free. She boldy stated their office only used preservative free and Thymerisol free vaccines and that she vaccinated her baby with everything at 6 weeks. I told her whatever vendor told her that lied, that 3 of the vaccines she wanted to inject that day had to have a preservative in them to prevent it from going rancid, and that Aluminum Phosphate was Mercury’s evil twin sister. I added that the Prevnar she wanted to give also had aborted fetal tissue and I refuse to inject foreign DNA into my baby. She looked at me horrified and then tried to gaslight me and say, “It does not have that!”. I told her I felt that as a doctor, it was irresponsible to not know or understand the ingredients she was injecting into children. Kids are meant to get sick and build antibodies, it’s how they establish and strengthen their immune system, as a pediatrician she should understand that. I was fired 2 appointments later. I looked her up on DollarsforDocs- she was making bank off vaccines. Disgusting.

  6. I regret vaccinating my son! Thankfully I only had one baby, there’s no way I would vaccinate another child, now that I know the information I’ve learned, it’s a scary world. Best wishes to all young parents fighting for your right to do what’d best for your babies.

  7. An investigation found that… Do these people live in caves in the mountains middle of nowhere without internet or television? The entire world knows this has been the standard approach for our entire lifetimes and beyond. There are literally people from around the world whom have known about these issues and talked about it their entire lives, millions if not billions of people are intricately aware of the details. These institutions are totally corrupt and everyone knows it.

Online research; Corrupt insurance pharmasuetical / You could spend your entire lifetime reading the reports, the lawsuits, the fines, the disclosure, recalls, an endless list really. Thankfully the lessor evolved life form congress critters and governors are finally paying attention. Don’t expect it to last that long though. Policy is always for sale. Because the people never actually get to vote on anything important that actually matters. By administrative decree…
