Responding to new federal vaccine recommendations, on Sept. 3, 2025 California Governor Gavin Newsom (D), Oregon Governor Tina Kotek (D), and Washington Governor Bob Ferguson(D) announced they are launching a new West Coast Health Alliance in response to recent changes made to vaccine use recommendations issued by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).1
The three Governors describe the alliance as a regional response to what they characterize as damage to the CDC’s credibility, and have launched a public attack on the current Republican administration for the vaccine use changes that have occurred under the direction of the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
Gov. Newsom stated in a press release:
President Trump’s mass firing of CDC doctors and scientists—and his blatant politicization of the agency—is a direct assault on the health and safety of the American people. The CDC has become a political tool that increasingly peddles ideology instead of science, ideology that will lead to severe health consequences. California, Oregon, and Washington will not allow the people of our states to be put at risk.2
On Sept. 4, Governor Newsom issued another press release announcing that Hawaii Governor Josh Green, MD (D) has joined the new West Coast Health Alliance, with Governor Green stating that Hawaii wants “to ensure public health decisions are grounded in science, not politics.”3
In a Sept 4 article published in the Hawaii Free Press, Washington state Rep. Jim Walsh, chair of the Washington state Repubican Party, pointed out that Newsom organized a similar multi-state public health alliance in the spring of 2020 at the height of COVID pandemic lockdowns.4 Referring to the 2020 coordinated pandemic response effort led by Newsom, Walsh criticized Washington state Governor Ferguson’s participation in the current West Coast Health Alliance. Walsh said:
That [2020] ‘Pact’ proved to be ineffectual—more press release than action. Five years later, Ferguson seems to be simply following [former Washington Gov. Jay Inslee’s] ineffectual footsteps,” Walsh told The Center Square. “I suspect this latest ‘Alliance’ will be the same. It’s not a serious law or policy. It’s just an excuse to snipe at Donald Trump and Robert Kennedy Jr.5
By January 2021, California, Washington, Hawaii and Oregon were listed as among the top eleven states having the strictest ongoing COVID-19 lockdowns among all 50 states.6
West Coast Health Alliance to Adopt Medical Trade Group Vaccine Use Recommendations
Governor Newsom’s website provides information about the new West Coast Health Alliance. The states plan to coordinate their public health guidelines by aligning vaccine recommendations with advice from national medical trade groups like the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
On June 26, 2025, the AAP published an article criticizing DDHS Secretary Kennedy’s replacement of members of the CDC’s vaccine advisory committee (ACIP) with new members. Following a statement by the new ACIP members that they would be conducting a review of the child and adolescent vaccine schedules, the AAP labeled the planned review an effort to “sow distrust in immunizations” and stated that AAP would continue to publish its own vaccine use recommendations and schedules independent of the CDC.7
Governor Newsom claims that the coordination with Washington, Oregon and Hawaii in the West Coast Health Alliance is meant to provide residents with consistent vaccine information despite any vaccine use recommendation changes made at the federal government level. The Alliance expects to finalize a set of shared principles in the coming weeks, which are said to focus on strengthening public confidence in vaccines and public health.8 Each state will continue to develop vaccine use policies based on their own public health laws, and states will respect Tribal sovereignty and recognize that Tribal nations maintain authority over vaccine services in their communities.
Newsom Previously Challenged Federal Vaccine Guidance
This is not the first time that Governor Newsom has led a multi-state initiative to challenge vaccine recommendations by federal health agencies. According to a Sept. 3 Los Angeles Times article, in 2020, Newsom created a team of doctors and scientists employed by the California Department of Public Health to independently evaluate all new COVID-19 shots approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The CDPH health officials expressed concern that President Trump’s administration might rush approval of the COVID vaccine by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) under the President’s “’Operation Warp Speed” program designed to fast track the COVID mRNA biological to market.9
Newsom’s initiative in 2020 to call into question the judgement of federal health agencies regulating and making policy for COVID vaccine use resulted in Washington, Oregon, and Nevada joining California in the multi-state alliance. Together, the four states formed the Western States Scientific Safety Review Workgroup. This group reviewed the safety requirements of new versions of the COVID-19 shots.10
According to a Sept. 3, 2025 article in the Los Angeles Times, Andrew Nixon, current director of communications at the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), is charging that California and Washington officials undermined public trust in federal health agencies with their heavy handed responses to the COVID-19 pandemic. He said:
Democrat-run states that pushed unscientific school lockdowns, toddler mask mandates and draconian vaccine passports during the COVID era completely eroded the American people’s trust in public health agencies.11
Nixon also pushed back against efforts to create an alternative to the CDC’s vaccine use guidance, emphasizing that the CDC’s vaccine advisory committee (ACIP) “remains the scientific body guiding immunization recommendations in this country, and HHS will ensure policy is based on rigorous evidence and Gold Standard Science, not the failed politics of the pandemic.”12

Why have our children gotten sicker over the past umpteen decades while pharma continues to push more and more vaccines, once just a handfull of vaccines were given. Now nearly 90+vaccines from birth to age 18. It’s utterly insane. Health is food = medicine , They obviously have not listened nor heard RFK Jr over the years — safe is #1. As biologics vaccines never had to be double blind placebo tested and he wants these studies to truly prove or disprove safe and effective. Why did Pfizer want to hide the truth for 50-75 yrs if all was safe. This triad of Governors is quite disturbing. Informed consent PLEASE! No Mandates! YIKES!
Excellent. Just a quick clarification; We don’t ask these people for permission to say no. We say no of our own accord. Our birthright as Americans is freedom and justice for all. We said no and we meant no. There is no debate. There is no asking permission. These people can not force us to do anything or agree with any of their positions. Their suggested control grid is an illusion, always has been. The tragedy lies not just in negative health outcomes of those whom believe they must comply, but also what happened behind the scenes, scarcely few people dare to learn about or accept as truth. The system and controllers behind it disappeared untold volumes of people, crushed and buried research, used every mechanism of deception and intimidation to create the structure we are dismantling today. They could not have actually believed they’d be able to lie to the world forever and the truth would never come out. Or perhaps they did. Regardless, their time of limitless power and control is coming to an end. We The People are finding our voices again, collectively, and the world will be a better place for it. ‘You can’t inject health.’ ‘Real health happens in the kitchen, and the gym.’ The lady whom said that met an unexpected and suspiciously tragic end. Not during the entire pandemic fraud where they hid the true vaccine injury numbers and condemned the use of non-lethal treatments in favor of pharma’s toxic products like Remdesivir. My son almost was not allowed to enter the 9th grade, a freshman in High School in Washington State, until we had a blood draw to prove immunity to the MMR (he only had vaccines up to age before kindergarten shots). In addition, his doctor refused to be his doctor unless he got all immunizations caught up. I also was unable (after calling 10 or more doctor’s offices) to find a doctor that would let us opt out of vaccines. Now does this sound like a world we want to live in? Not at all, OR, WA, HI, and CA! The safety and health of our Children is top priority and that is done by re-evaluating the vaccines they mandate, and make our children take, as well as the food supply we have to feed our children, by removing harmful dyes and chemicals.
Pediatricians collect payments for every vaccine they can get into your kid’s arm. You child was a cash cow. These aren’t doctors. They are pharma reps. Avoid pediatricians and “wellness visits” that are really just excuses to charge you to poison your previously healthy child. Never take a child to a doctor unless they absolutely need medical attention from some kind of trauma like a broken arm. Find a naturpath, osteopath for your medical needs. The allopathic doctors are all bought out, serving insurance companies and pharma. Not you.
Yeah, what Bob said in response to this comment. We had to take our two now teenage daughters into the hospital about a half dozen times each through their entire youth. We had a few broken fingers, and broken collarbone. One time the youngest shoved a life piece so far up her nose it became infected and we needed a doctor with a special long tweezer dealie to take that out. Sedation once for a massive cavity correction in the young years, as we did not know yet that feeding them bread and milk every night was a harmful not helpful routine. Had a mouth full of silver but thankfully now all adult teeth are in, cavity free. We called for asthma inhalers once as our neighbor would burn fires all year long, thankfully we got them to stop, took a natural healing approach, and the emerging asthma simply went away and never returned. We even had full covered medical via our employer, and still never went in anyways. We skipped every debate with all the doctors, which they could not stop blathering about vaccination. We simply looked every one of them in the eye and said no, we’re not vaccinating and we’re not going to talk about it either. Thankfully because we had an employee in the system, and we were members in a union based health organization, at a major care provider whom did not structure a mandatory compliance for doctors pay scales, this caused a sort of work around and short circuit. They did not even bother trying to argue about it with us. I even a few times said show me the insert and we’ll think about it and never once did they furnish the actual insert. A few times they’d come back with summary prints and I’d say that’s not the insert where is the actual insert. Apparently they throw them away during stocking, or so they claim. Navigating the system is not all that difficult. And homeschooling was the smartest dang choice we every made outside of not vaccinating anyways. Did that until late middle high school. Now the kids are straight A students without much effort, smarter and healthier, with a far better emotional and ethical quality. Thank you to NVIC for making that all possible in our lives. We traded illustrious better employment for the freedom, and we’d do it all over the same way again too, even knowing now how much we traded. You can’t put a price on freedom or your health. If anyone finds themselves in a pinch, just get out and go somewhere else where these pressures are not there, it’s worth every last bit of effort and sacrifice. That my friends is how it’s done.

Some larger context to this alliance is CA, WA, and OR have been increasingly moving together in lockstep in various policy issues. It appears to be a nascent shift to regionalism for the planned North American Technate, with the same blueprint manifesting globally for technocracy. High profile battles between the federal government and the states serve this end. Watch out for an engineering of a “constitutional crisis” that would create an opening to undermine or destroy citizen protections, particularly in the Bill of Rights – to include health freedom and all manner of informed consent.

Lots of these current US issues remind me of when slavery was legal in the US. There were people then who wanted change for the better. And as is now. There are people who want things to remain unjust as they are. It’s rather odd to me that West Coast political leaders didn’t have any complaints against the CDC or HHS prior to the year 2025. I’m sure that the main concern of Newsome and his allies is the loss of possible kickbacks. and/or campaign funding from the pharmavax industries.
I live in California and Gov Newsom has a heavy hand in the way he leads. Our autism rate went from 1 in 36 children to 1 in 12 since SB277 took away all medical and personal belief exemptions in 2015. In just ten years, we lead the nation in the most sick children. I don’t think we should be looking to our state as an example of vaccine success. Robert F Kennedy is trying to bring common sense back to medicine. NOT ONE of these vaccines has been tested with a placebo based study. NOT ONE. Our country requires the most vaccines of any nation and we have the most sick kids. If vaccines were the answer, we would be the top nation in health outcomes, not the worst.
Yeah. And if you read the full CA rule set on mandatory vaccinations, which there are several, you’ll see right through the illusion. In order not to displace many of the wealthy people whom would have fought back against the mandate, there was a series of grandfathered rule exceptions. If your children were at least six or ten years old or whatever their arbitrary number was, they could continue to go through school and existing opt outs would be honored. But if you had a new child to the system, then they had to comply with the full measure of the fascist legislation. Because; safe and effective, that’s why. CA continues to be the model what approach we should not take. Besides, there is talk on the beat that if the upcoming abolishment of mail in voting and voter registration citizen id verification is set in place, CA, CO, and several other states my just turn red overnight. IL governor JB Pritzker signed a executive order stating that pHARNacy can give a vaccine not recommended by CDC without a prescription, if it is recommended by the medical industry AMA.

I also live in Washington State. I don’t see why your son would need to get blood drawn to prove anything. All you needed to do was turn in the exemption form and and claim a religious exemption. Yes, the philosophical is no longer available for mmr but you don’t need a Dr to sign a medical exemption just claim the religious exemption.
