Following new childhood vaccine use recommendations issued by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) has released its own childhood vaccine schedule that differs from the CDC’s new recommendations.1
Citing “evidence based” guidelines, the AAP issued a press release stating, “It (the AAP childhood vaccine schedule) differs from recent recommendations of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) of the CDC, which was overhauled this year and replaced with individuals who have a history of spreading vaccine misinformation.”1 The AAP statement referred to a change in members of the ACIP in June 2025, as directed by Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
Citing concerns about conflicts of interest, Secretary Kennedy replaced all 17 members of ACIP and replaced them with different members in an effort to improve transparency and restore public confidence in the committee’s analyses and recommendations. Under Kennedy, the CDC dropped recommendations that all pregnant women and healthy children should be given the COVID-19 biological.
The new vaccine guidelines from the AAP state specific guidance for administration of the respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) monolonal antibody shot, influenza vaccine and the COVID-19 shot, but the full childhood vaccine schedule includes recommendations for use of 17 different vaccines. The AAP’s guidance for common respiratory illnesses includes the following:
Influenza Vaccine Recommendation:
- Administration of an annual flu shot to infants and children beginning at age six months.
RSV Monoclonal Antibody Shot Recommendation:
- Administration of an RSV shot if the pregnant woman did not receive one during pregnancy or it is unknown whether the RSV shot was given during pregnancy;
- Administration of an RSV shot to a baby if the baby was born less than 14 days after the mother got the RSV shot;
- Administration of an RSV shot to babies aged eight months to 19 months who are at high risk of being infected with RSV and entering their second RSV season.
COVID-19 Shots Recommendation:
- Administration of a COVID shot for all babies aged six months through 23 months;
- Administration of a COVID shot to a child aged two to 18 years if at higher risk for severe complications of SARS-CoV-2 infection; live in the same house with someone at high risk for severe infection; live in a group residence, or has never gotten a COVID shot.
- The AAP also notes that children who do not fall into a high-risk category can still receive the COVID shot at their parent’s discretion.
AAP Chair Says Evidence of Safety in Children is Clear for COVID Shot
The chair of the AAP Committee on Infection Disease said in a prepared statement that they extensively reviewed data about SARS-CoV-2 risks in children and effectiveness of the COVID biological and that it is clear that the “vaccines” are “very safe for all populations.”2
The AAP’s guidance on administration of the COVID biological differs from the CDC’s most recent recommendations. Under the Biden administration, the CDC recommended COVID shots for all pregnant women and children, but language on the CDC website regarding COVID shots now states that parents of children ages six months to 17 years should discuss the benefits of receiving the COVID shot with a healthcare provider.
AAP Says Recommendations are Rooted in Science
AAP President Susan J. Kressley, MD, stated, “The AAP will continue to provide recommendations for immunizations that are rooted in science and are in the best interest of the health of infants, children, and adolescents. Pediatricians know how important routine childhood immunizations are in keeping children, families, and their communities healthy and thriving.”2
In response to the AAP’s statements and COVID shot use guidance that does not align with federal recommendations, Kennedy wrote:
AAP is angry that CDC has eliminated corporate influence in decisions over vaccine recommendations and returned CDC to gold-standard science and evidence-based medicine laser-focused on children’s health.3
Kennedy also said that the AAP is not acting in good faith by “smearing those who demand accountability” and is “putting commercial interests ahead of public health and politics above America’s children.”2

What are the latest statistics on yearly childhood deaths caused by Covid? I searched, but could not find any that did not give yearly stats, only 2020-2023. Parents should be be informed, not just about safety, but also about the need for another vaccine.
Let it be known that Susan Kressley is paid ofg by vaccine manufacturers and the “deep state” to lie about vaccine safety. She disregards actual science and pushes the option supporting corporate greed over real safety concerns. Doctors like her should lose their license to practice medicine
AAP, please post this “evidence” that you claim guided your “evidence based decision” . . .
Since the AAP is just another tool for the industry to push its products, their opinion should have no weight.
So, healthy children suffer less side effects from the covid vax because their bodies can endure the bad side effects / are able to detox from the vax.
This still begs the question – is the vax necessary for young healthy children that won’t suffer from contracting the covid flu . . . – is it harmful is the second step, first ask, is it necessary?
Lets help the indoctrinated . . . NO, the shot is not necessary. The risk from covid is so small among children that it is not worth the risk – however small (actually higher than claimed) of a vaccine side effect.
Reminder – they conceded it caused infertility, but weren’t sure for how long. Epidemic of childhood cancers – that did not occur at such a high frequency before Covid . . . many other harms, but apparently its worth the “benefit” from the shot.
The AAP is funded by foundations like the corrupt Bill & Mel. Gate Foundation that hasn’t seen a vaccine it didn’t love. They are defending their financial backers over children’s health. Another racket taking people’s money under the guise of “saving the children”.
the AAP vaccine schedule is based on marking science. it maximum the medical industry not the children health.
How can they decide that a child should get 5 polio shots when the current vaccine came after we eliminate polio with chean water.
How can they think that 5 shots are better than 1 or none, when no US children get polio????
If the marketing for say “the flu shot” wasn’t so blatantly obvious that this is for for the enormous profits stores and pharmaceutical companies selling to the stores make, I would believe the AAP, the signs outside the store read “20% off your shopping today by getting the flu shot vaccine, or receive a $10 or $20 gift card for getting vaccinated today. Shameful to all those involved with this practice.
