Pfizer’s COVID-19 Shot Linked to Serious Damage to Eyes

Pfizer’s COVID-19 Shot Linked to Serious Damage to Eyes

A new peer-reviewed study out of Turkey has found that the Pfizer/BioNTech mRNA COVID-19 biologic (Comirnaty) may cause significant and measurable changes to eye health that, for some individuals, could contribute to long-term or even permanent vision complications. The study, published in Ophthalmic Epidemiology on July 14, 2025 tracked 64 patients over a 2.5-month period, comparing pre- and post-vaccination corneal measurements using topography and specular microscopy.1 2

Researchers documented a notable decline in corneal endothelial cell health within weeks of patients receiving the Pfizer COVID shot. The study found a significant drop in endothelial cell density, increased cell irregularity, and thickening of the cornea following two doses of the mRNA biologic. The study notes, “Endothelial cell density showed a statistically significant decrease… after vaccination.” In other words, Pfizer’s COVID biologic appeared to damage the delicate, non-regenerating layer of cells that keeps the cornea clear.

While these structural changes to the eye may not immediately affect healthy individuals, the researchers caution that they could pose a risk to people with compromised eye health or prior corneal grafts, and they encourage more targeted safety monitoring in sensitive eye tissues. The authors wrote, “The endothelium should be closely monitored in those with a low endothelial count or who have had a corneal graft.”1 2

Researchers Identified Eye Inflammation Patterns Within Days of COVID Vaccination in 2022

While some experts attribute COVID shot-related ocular effects to a general immune response expected after vaccination, a 2022 multinational case series suggests a more complex picture. In addition to typical immune activation, researchers proposed that adjuvants and components unique to mRNA COVID biologics—such as lipid nanoparticles and the spike protein itself—may trigger innate immune responses through alternative pathways, potentially contributing to the observed eye tissue deterioration symptoms.3

The 2022 study, published in the Journal of Ophthalmic Inflammation and Infection, documented 70 cases of ocular inflammatory events occurring within 14 days after receipt of COVID-19 shots (both mRNA and non-mRNA products) that included anterior and posterior uveitis, scleritis, optic neuritis, and rare corneal lesions. While most recovered without lasting damage, 7.1 percent experienced lasting visual impairment.3

These earlier findings provide important context for the 2025 study, which observed structural damage to the cornea’s inner cell layer even without obvious signs of inflammation—suggesting that something other than a typical inflammatory immune responses, expected with vaccination, may also be playing a role in adverse eye effects.2 3

Reported Ocular Effects Range from Mild Irritation to Vision Loss

A wide range of mild-to-severe eye-related symptoms and complications have been reported following COVID shots. According to Healthline, these include Bell’s Palsy, optic neuritis (swelling of the optic nerve), retinopathy (damage to the retina), uveitis (middle-layer eye tissue inflammation), shingles affecting the eye, reactivation of herpes keratitis (an infection of the cornea caused by herpes simplex virus), conjunctivitis (commonly known as pink eye), reduced vision, eye pain or discomfort, eye/eyelid redness, swelling, or rash, blurry vision, and corneal transplant rejection.

While causality has not been definitively established, the recurring patterns and variety of reported eye effects continue to draw attention among physician researchers.

While the 2025 Turkish study did not examine long-term outcomes or clinical symptoms, its findings—alongside a growing number of clinician-authored case reports and adverse event submissions to databases like the federal Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS)—underscore the need for further investigation, particularly in individuals with preexisting eye disease, low endothelial cell counts, or a history of corneal surgery. The study adds to a growing body of literature suggesting that effects on the eye of COVID shots may extend beyond the systemic immune response and warrant ongoing organ-specific safety monitoring.2 3 4

No Warning of Ocular Side Effects Included in Comirnaty Package Insert

Despite growing evidence of potential eye-related complications, Pfizer’s official Comirnaty package insert makes no mention of ocular side effects—neither in clinical trial data nor post-marketing surveillance reports.5

While experts maintain that such reactions are rare, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently required mRNA COVID shot manufacturers to update their labeling to include warnings about an equally rare heart-related risk—myocarditis and pericarditis – particularly in young men. Failing to acknowledge evidence that there is a notable inconsistency in how potential side effects of COVID shots are labeled and communicated to the public.6

  1. Who’s going to be the first in the medical community to acknowledge James O’Keefe’s OMG undercover investigation where the J&J covid shot was known to be a sham, told directly from a top person there?

All these covid shot suppliers are the same. They were tapping into government money at ‘warp speed’. Never safe. Never effective. Not adequately safety tested. They all had a hand in creating this monstrosity in the first place. No conflicts of interest here, move along people, move along. We have investigated ourselves, and determined we did nothing wrong.

And now we get to deal with a never ending slow walk of the issue until the public loses interest. Now it’s eye damage as well. As if the heart attacks, sudden death, spontaneous abortions, harm to children, shedding the filth on the unvaccinated and violating their right to informed consent and self guided medical choices, the nano tech, graphine oxide, all these other known harmful effects, as if that’s simply not enough research yet to actually sue anyone or arrest anyone.

Don’t worry. Nobody will go to jail. There will be no accountability. Only endless studies that build a bridge to nowhere.

  2. I know someone who has taken every shot and has had a macular hole and a macular pucker in both eyes and has lost a lot of eyesight. This is not their only issues. They have a multitude of medical problems. (E nodosum, MRSA of the inner ear, fibromyalgia) They will not believe it could be related.
