On Mar. 7, 2025, the Associated Press and other media sources reported that the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is planning to conduct a study to determine possible links between vaccines and autism. In a prepared statement, the DHHS vaccine policymaking agency said that the “CDC will leave no stone unturned in its mission to figure out what exactly is happening. The American people expect high quality research and transparency and that is what CDC is delivering.”1 2 3 4 5
Study Will Use Data from the Vaccine Safety Datalink
CDC officials will use data from the Vaccine Safety Datalink (VSD), which is a database established by CDC in 1990. The VSD is maintained by the CDC’s Immunization Safety Office in collaboration with HMOs and health care organizations across the United States.5 6 7 8
The VSD, which was designed to monitor and investigate rare and serious vaccine adverse events based on evaluating patient medical records, uses electronic health record (EHR) data from 12 member sites in California, Colorado, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Oregon, Washington, and Wisconsin. The sites are operated by Acumen Healthcare, Denver Health, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute, HealthPartners Institute, Indiana University, Kaiser Permanente, Marshfield Clinic Research Institute, and OCHIN.8
According to radiologist Nicole Saphier, MD, “Historically, the agency has maintained that no such connection exists, citing robust but outdated studies.” But she noted that there remains “persistent skepticism” by many Americans about the quality of vaccine safety studies and said that the decision to proceed with a study into the reported relationship between vaccines and autism “could signal an effort to address” these concerns.” It represents a “notable shift, likely spurred by ongoing public debate and pressure for transparency,” Dr. Saphier said.2
Researcher Investigating Thimerosal Toxicity Selected for Autism Study
On Mar. 25, The Washington Post reported that Thimerosal researcher David Geier, who is not a government employee, to be the “senior data analyst” for the VSD study into autism and vaccines and lead the investigation. Geier is primarily known for co-authorship with his father Mark Geier, MD, of multiple published peer-reviewed studies assessing the toxicity of the mercury-based preservative Thimerosal (also known as Merthiolate) in inactivated bacterial and viral childhood vaccines such as DPT, DTaP, DT, hepatitis B and HIB. Thimerosal has never been an ingredient in live attenuated viral vaccines such as oral polio (OPV), measles, mumps and rubella (MMR), chickenpox and rotavirus vaccines.8
According to CDC officials, Thimerosal was included as a vaccine ingredient in inactivated vaccines from the 1930s until about 2001, although federal health officials strongly deny that Thimerosal causes autism. Thimerosal is still an ingredient in some inactivated seasonal influenza vaccines in multi-dose vials and, according to some vaccine safety critics, Thimerosal is also included in trace amounts in single dose vials of other inactivated childhood vaccines despite federal health officials insistence that the mercury preservative has been completely removed.9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18
Following a directive in the FDA Modernization Act of 1997 to assess the risk of mercury ingredients in food and drugs, on July 9, 1999, the CDC published a Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR) stating that given that the “potential risk” of Thimerosal was of concern, “the Public Health Service (PHS), the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and vaccine manufacturers agree that thimerosal-containing vaccines should be removed as soon as possible.”19
In 2001, Institute of Medicine’s (IOM) Immunization Safety Review Committee published a report titled “Immunization Safety Review: Thimerosal-Containing Vaccines and Neurodevelopmental Disorders” that concluded the evidence was “inadequate to accept or reject a causal relationship between exposure to thimerosal from vaccines and the neurodevelopmental disorders of autism, ADHD, and speech or language delay.” The IOM committee went further and recommended that “full consideration be given by appropriate professional societies and government agencies to removing thimerosal from vaccines administered to infants, children, or pregnant women in the United States.”20 21

The study’s conclusion: “The culmination of the research that examines the effects of Thimerosal in humans indicates that it is a poison at minute levels with a plethora of deleterious consequences, even at the levels currently administered in vaccines.”

Not only that, they’re completely disregarding ALUMINUM which is in the MMR as it’s in all vaccines as part of the adjuvants. Why don’t they use Dr. Andrew Wakefield’s research? I can predict what this new “research” will say and it’s all to prevent vaccine hesitancy and the shot makers can keep making the big bucks without any accountability for the damage they cause.
There is no aluminum in live vaccines like mmr, only in killed virus/bacteria vaccines, though mmr is normally given after & with many aluminum vaccines.
Someone has to be picked as the senior data analyst, but I think they made the wrong choice here going with Geier who has much controversy surrounding him. Just as they marginalize those of us who believe in freedom of choice with regards to vaccination, of never being satisfied with the existing studies, so too will they marginalize anything with Geier’s name on it as coming from a “noted vaccine skeptic” or “antivaccine activist” or words to that effect.
Obviously Paul Offit would be the wrong choice too, but they certainly could have come up with a more neutral person for this role.
I think they made a great choice. They chose based on merit and not politics. If Geier finds no relationship between vaccines and autism, then that result is more believable than if a “neutral” person arrives at that conclusion. I suggest for those who embrace vaccines as a religion, facts won’t matter and they will hold on to their beliefs no matter the results of this study.
Focus on the one thing, not the other. Then when inconclusive or conflicting data surfaces the corporate controlled medical industrial complex can slow walk the issue another few decades, until political winds shift again. Why doesn’t the CDC simply ask Dell Bigtree with Highwire Live and the ten dozen other serious vaccine harm groups from around the world for their research and build from there instead? The results of unbiased studies are already in from multiple accredited sources. The premise of this newly proposed research effort is obviously being limited, given the omission that vaccines which do not contain these substances are also proven to cause irreparable harm. The ‘rare but serious side effects’ position is countered by the statistical fact that the majority of persons whom take multiple vaccines do certifiably suffer from notably increased quantity, duration, and frequency of chronic health conditions, presence of thimerosal not withstanding. Del and his people already proved this position without a doubt.
The pace of government has never and will never be fast enough to provide reliable safeguards for issues of this magnitude which effect entire nations. Decentralization is key. Other effective solution and research options exist which are both more efficient, more reliable, with more robust built in checks and balance safeguards. Those are called the decentralized model, where the general public is free to rely on whomever they feel is most trust worthy, no longer restricted or guided by outdated monolithic central control models.
Decentralization, where the government no longer claims all seeing all knowing authority and instead provides possibly contradictory guidance where they will admit simple truths; These researchers here say these products are dangerous, these researchers over there say they are not. Rather than labeling and slandering anyone whom disagrees as a heretic. Here is all of their research for you the consumer of these products to make up your own mind, free to make your own autonomous personal medical decisions. The government agency (insert your preferred agency here), does not take a stance either way, and is only collecting data and statistics for individual practitioners and individual consumers to make up their own mind. This sort of honest relaying of data can not happen under a central control model. I suppose we’ll just have to wait for another government study funded by the purveyors of these so we can know more? I have a suspicion that regardless of the new results, the authoritarian side of many people may not be able to escape the long since firmly entrenched cognitive dissonance brought upon by a lifetime of propaganda exposure. If the entrenched bought and sold corporate paid for fake news media does not like him, we should keep up with his efforts and give him the benefit of the doubt. Dear Ktuff; My mom was a public health nurse so I grew up thinking vaccines were safe as water. I’m not going to get into my childhood history with vaccines but I’m a good mom so double my kid’s vaccines cause I’m a good mom was my philosophy. My son got his MMR at 2, right on time cause I’m a GOOD mom. Then she started bruising like the Child Abuse Poster Child. I guess its lucky my husband is an attorney because they didn’t call the authorities on us. The school said take him to the doctor, the doctor said its normal. The school said B.S. and then my husband made some calls and we forced the pediatrician to do a platelet count. He was so low that they nearly made of hospitalize our 2 year son. He had not been sick, the only virus he had been exposed to as far as I knew was the MMR vaccine. The pediatrician and the specialist and the children’s hospital said it couldn’t be caused by the MMR vaccine because… wait for it…”Vaccines are Safe.” Not only did everyone tell me that they told me “don’t even think about it being from a vaccine, they are the miracle of the 20th Century. On the US national Vaccine Injury Table there is ITP (immune thrombocytopenic purpura) is a blood disorder that prevents blood from clotting normally. Both children and adults can develop ITP. This disease is caused by an immune reaction against one’s own platelets. So either these pediatricians and blood pediatric specialist have no clue what the vaccine injury for a vaccine injury or they are lying sacks of shit. I have to go with the lying sacks of shit on my son’s vaccine injury which they said would clear up and never come back. He had it multiple times and we thought we would have to pull family and friends in to donate platelets to our baby, (which they didn’t do at that time.) “F-ing” morans. They need to start admitting they were wrong before they can ever be credible again.

I think Geier is an excellent choice. Look, with them, we are damned if we do, damned if we don’t. Period. They rely on their hysteria to be blinding. I first saw Geier speak at the 2004 Institute of Medicine conference on vaccines and autism and there first learned how the sausage was made when next day WAPO said “no link,” and their article has since been consistently footnoted. No way you could make that conclusion if you attended.

This is a wonderful appointment. David Geier and his father Mark Geier are the only people ever to get access to the vaccine injury database in Washington. They were not allowed to take notes or photos, just to look. They are some of the earliest whistleblowers about the dangers of thimerosal. Not allowed to take notes or photos, just to look. When the government treats serious accredited researchers like common criminals whom can’t be trusted with a pen, paper, or camera. It’s almost as if the vaccine injury database serves as a guarded information depository which purposefully conceals all evidence of vaccine harm from the general public, in order to bolster liability protection and ensure long term profits of vaccine manufacturers. NDA’s are acceptable business tools for everyone involved on a daily operational basis. But when a nosy reporter or independent researcher shows up, it’s suddenly eyes only ultra top secret and anyone whom dares to ask to look is treated like a stasi infiltrator. Hello, wasn’t there a multi-college(s) study back in the early 2000’s where baby monkeys were given the exact same vaccines at the developmental time as human babies and there were profound issues. The study was published in the Lancet and then quickly removed. I thought I had printed a copy but i’m in Florida and our property flooded and these papers were lost. Does anyone else remember this/these joint studies? They need to publish this/these studies.
Search for David Geier MD and the press are having a field day discrediting him already. Whatever he finds, the results will be discredited by those who have vested interests. Surely anyone with an ounce of common sense would avoid injecting mercury into their baby or child if they knew so why the need for the study? Would it be more useful to test the vaccines that have supposedly had them removed to see if they actually have? Perhaps the two need to go hand in hand.
Pulling data from the Vaccine Safety Datalink is total BS. My child’s doctor nor his specialist could believe that his platelet disorder (ITP) could ever have been due to a vaccine so they didn’t report it. I had no idea the Vaccine Safety Datalink (why do they call it that if its to report a reaction?), so I couldn’t report it. They need to pull all the cases that have been filed and especially the vaccine injury cases that won in the Vaccine Injury courts. They also need to stop allowing individuals that are either employed by or compensated by the Vaccine companies to go into our medical and nursing school and tell these students that they will practice for 50 years and never see a vaccine reaction other than Anaphylaxis.
I think that’s why the VSD is helpful, because it’s complete health records regardless of if anyone thinks that a vaccine caused the health issue. An autism diagnosis and vaccination status side by side. Incidence of ITP and vaccination records side by side, etc, for a large group of children. Some of the children in the group are unvaccinated, and their overall health can be compared to the health and diagnoses of vaccinated children.
Again; Someone should call Del Bigtree with the Highwire Live. The research is already available to many of these points. The powers that be simply refuses to acknowledge what the rest of us already know to be true. It’s called slow walking the disclosure in order to minimize liability exposure. Not quite something we’d expect; of the people, by the people, for the people. Or alternatively, one could go around the world and look at the research done by other similar independent groups. The illusion of authority under a central model; Only approved narratives are allowed to persist.
If this is the end result of the VSD after all these decades later… Seems to function more as a registry to identify those whom may be heretical to the system. What’s wrong with open disclosure in a free market setting and TORT liability on an individual basis? Back to the basics for better longstanding systems corrections.
I’m concerned that there is no mention of aluminum adjuvants in the study. Is it possible they would do a separate study on that question?? I hope that’s not a simplistic way to placate people and dodge the real question.
I also hope for seperate aluminum studies, but I am understanding this will be a truly unvaxxed VS vaxxed autism study. The VSD is complete health records of many children, including vaccine records and autism diagnoses. It should be able to put a % of vaccinated kids who get diagnosed with autism VS a % of kids who are not vaccinated who get diagnosed with autism. It’s not perfect as a retrospective study, but it’s a great start! I would also love a general vaxxed vs unvaxxed total health study as well.
Again; Del Bigtree already presented the detailed study of vaxxed vs unvaxxed total health study. The conclusions are solid, the data is clear. Unvaccinated communities have undeniably statistically lower instances of chronic health conditions across the board for every single type of issue.
In graph form, which he presented live on air multiple times, the difference is simple to visualize. Two lines on a paper left to right. The unvaccinated communities run lateral, hardly any uptick in disease over time. Meanwhile the vaccinated group line jumps like a track star and continues to climb long after they age out past the point of taking vaccines, yet the chronic health conditions persist.
They broke this down into individual disease categories and the data was consistent. Even more illuminating, the inconvenient truth nobody wants to acknowledge, which is why we get this political slow walking theater instead; Instances of chronic health conditions becoming measurable and apparent coincide with the childhood vaccine schedule.
Take the shot; get chronic illness. It’s actually a relatively simple concept anyone can understand. If they can first break past the propaganda and social conditioning, informational deserts where dissenters are banned and censored. Repeat after me; Safe AND Effective.

Dr Tenpenny; After initial vaccine testing and approval, the manufacturers are allowed to change up to 50%, and sometimes more, of the ingredients and manufacturing process. Nobody really knows what’s in the vaccines during continued production periods.
So the truth is we don’t know what the hell is in those vials most of the time. You can dare to dream that major corporations pushing millions and billions of tiny vials full of the most carefully formulated and controlled highly complex assimilation of genetic material, adjuvants, attenuated or non attenuated viruses, fragments, and so on and so forth, are safe.
Or you could look at the world around you and consider if similar problems are likely present in vaccine manufacturing, as they are for literally every other type of product manufacturing on the planet, but with even less oversight. Or you could believe the illusion of safe and effective no matter what, because they’re vaccines. Pay no attention to the difficulties with millions of glass vials on conveyor belts, changing formulas due to product supply issues, corporate cost cutting, worker error, pressure to produce and falsifying of records, inadequate continued follow up testing, etc, etc.
Somewhere in the mix, a regular guy got out his microscope and did learn what’s in there. They don’t want you to hear about those peoples honest conclusions. So instead we get another ‘government study.’ Maybe it’s the russian troll in me but I don’t exactly trust the lack of transparency in the process.
Meanwhile non gm foods, clean filtered water, herbal and homeopathic solutions are sitting there on the shelf with far more reliable production and sourcing, more easily recognizable defects if present, at a far lower cost for anyone to pick up and use freely without restriction or red tape.
Mercury, aluminum, formaldehyde, SV-40 just to name a few of the long list of triggers in these vaccines. They are all poisons and have no place in a human body, except to weaken and maim it. Perhaps the thimerosal study will be the crack in the dam to bring this travesty down once and for all, but the walls of this fortress are strong and deep, and hope is not enough.
It’s laughable if it didn’t affect so many people’s lives, including my own and my injured child’s. They think we are all idiots. They’re trying to kill us all anyway so I guess this is just another step in the direction they want to go. Those of us who know the truth will never ever accept their studies or their murder shots.
The saddest part is how easily the human’s are steered towards groupthink, how easily they are propagandized through repetitive exposure of mirrored messages. How susceptible to peer pressure.
Probably won’t happen in my lifetime but the hope is one day there will be fewer people whom have vaccine injured family, and more attention can be paid to the constant civil rights violations imposed on those whom simply opted out in anticipation of potential harm, although we were never harmed ourselves.
That’s where the real solution lies; In the test groups of people whom were never exposed in the first place. They tried to scare us to death as young parents, that our childrens lives were at risk for not taking shots. Guess what happened when we never took shots? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Except our children consistently test far higher than their peers and are verifiably more competent in just about everything they do. Now into the teenage years we only needed to go to the hospitals for some dentistry broken teeth, a few broken fingers and broken collar bone, and one time asthma inhalers because our neighbor would not stop burning fires.
