Three German Scientists Call for Immediate Halt on All mRNA Biologicals, Including COVID Shots

German authors of a new peer-reviewed study called for an “immediate halt of all mRNA biologicals,” ” including COVID-19 shots, until questions about residual DNA that well exceeds regulatory limits can be answered. The study, published on Dec. 3, 2024 in the Public Health Policy Journal, underscores concerns about the mRNA technology that includes the risks of residual DNA integrating into human cells and contributing to genomic instability, unintended immune responses, and long-term health effects that still remain largely unstudied.¹

Genomic instability occurs when a cell’s DNA becomes easily damaged or changes frequently—much like spelling errors sneaking into a “final draft” of a document, for example—which can lead to health problems like cancer because the cell’s instructions are distorted in the genetic code. Essentially, the cell’s “genetic blueprint” is unstable and is more likely to develop dangerous “errors”—or mutations—over time.

The residual DNA in question includes an SV40 promoter/enhancer sequence, which is known to help drive gene expression in cells and is often used in research. “Our results raise grave concerns regarding the safety of the [Pfizer/BioNTech] BNT162b2 vaccine and call for an immediate halt of all RNA biologicals unless these concerns can be dispelled,” the study urges.¹

AAPS Raises Critical Concerns About COVID Shot Classification, Safety and Regulatory Oversight

Another study recently published in The Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons suggests that COVID shots should never have been classified as vaccines in the first place. According to a Substack article discussing the study by epidemiologist Nicolas Hulscher, MPH, the research highlights two main concerns: “COVID-19 modRNA vaccines were misclassified as traditional vaccines rather than gene therapy products, bypassing stricter regulatory requirements; and WHO guidelines from 2005 were used for nonclinical assessments, despite being outdated and inapplicable to modRNA vaccines,” the article states. Hulscher is the administrator of the McCullough Foundation, which was founded by Peter McCullough, MD one of the authors of the study published by the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS).^{2 3}

“Spike protein is a highly toxic substance that causes damage to all organ systems,” Hulscher said in a recent interview. “We can connect spike protein to vaccine-related deaths and serious adverse events as it’s been directly found in the brain, adrenal glands, heart, and blood of injured and deceased individuals.”³

Other key findings from the study published in the AAPS journal indicate that COVID shot-related adverse events may be significantly underreported and not adequately addressed by public health authorities. The findings also detail a wide range of suspected vaccine injuries, from myocarditis and neurological issues to fertility and autoimmune complications. It criticizes regulatory oversight, suggesting that a litany of potential safety signals have not been thoroughly acknowledged or investigated, and questions whether the risk-to-benefit profile of mRNA biologics has been misrepresented. The authors ultimately call for greater transparency, reevaluation of existing data, and a more cautious approach to vaccination until these concerns are resolved.²

The article also recounts faulty clinical trials that failed to measure essential factors like spike protein variability, the early unblinding of placebo groups which compromised long-term safety data, and a surge in adverse events reported to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS). “Since the proper conditions for market withdrawal have been met, the primary obstacle preventing an immediate moratorium on COVID-19 genetic injections is our captured regulatory agencies, which will hopefully be dealt with after the Senate confirmation process,” the article concludes.³

In 2023 U.S. Scientist Called for FDA to “Force Pfizer to Remove DNA From mRNA-Based Vaccines”

The study out of Germany warning that residual DNA in mRNA COVID shots is unsafe comes a little over a year after a USC Professor of Cancer Molecular Genetics, Phillip Buckhaults, Ph.D., issued a similar  public warning on the University of South Carolina website about the danger of DNA in mRNA vaccines. The recommendation he made in a September 2023 online publication was clear when he said, “We should insist that the USFDA force Pfizer to get the DNA out of the booster and all future mRNA-based vaccines.”⁴

Buckhaults said the Pfizer/BioNTech mRNA injection is “contaminated with the plasmid DNA vector that was used as the template for in vitro transcription reaction” which could cause serious side effects including sustained autoimmune attacks, death from cardiac arrest, and more. “Each shot has about 200 billion pieces of plasmid DNA encapsulated in the lipid Nanoparticle,” Buckhaults warned. “There is also a theoretical risk of future cancer, depending on the piece of DNA and site of integration.”⁴

DNA in mRNA COVID Shots Poses “Unique and Elevated Risk to Human Health” Florida Surgeon General Said

Also among the growing chorus of public health experts who warned the public about the dangers of the experimental injections was Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo, MD who, in December of 2023, called for a halt to the use of mRNA COVID shots.⁵

He said in a January 2023 statement, “DNA integration poses a unique and elevated risk to human health and to the integrity of the human genome, including the risk that DNA integrated into sperm or egg gametes could be passed onto offspring of mRNA COVID shot recipients. If the risks of DNA integration have not been assessed for mRNA COVID shots, these vaccines are not appropriate for use in human beings. Providers concerned about patient health risks associated with COVID should prioritize patient access to non-mRNA COVID shots and treatment. It is my hope that, in regard to COVID, the FDA will one day seriously consider its regulatory responsibility to protect human health, including the integrity of the human genome.”⁵

Sixty Percent of Americans Unlikely to Get Updated COVID Shots

COVID shot uptake has continued to decrease throughout 2024. In fact, a recent Pew Research Center survey found that 60 percent of Americans are unlikely to get an updated COVID shot, continuing a downward trend in uptake compared with the initial rollout of vaccines. The study notes that trust in medical and public health institutions has eroded and beliefs about vaccine safety, effectiveness and necessity all influence individuals’ decisions. The decline is apparent even in healthcare spaces: At Nebraska Medicine, a leading academic health network, the staff’s COVID vaccination rate as of October stood at just 9.5 percent—significantly below internal targets aimed at ensuring compliance among its workforce.^{6 7}
