Dr. Robert Redfield led the CDC when the COVID outbreak began in 2020. He was an early proponent of the [Wuhan] lab leak theory. Last March, he testified before Congress that he was sidelined over that belief. It’s really important that the Biden administration follow through [with the release of these State Department documents about the lab leak theory]. Congress unanimously voted to have all these documents declassified, and once they are declassified the American public will get a much better understanding of the knowledge base we have. Clearly, the FBI was able to look through this material and come with modern certainly that this came from a lab.
