Novavax’s experimental NVX-CoV2373 (also known as “Nuvaxovid” and “Covovax”) COVID-19 vaccine has been authorized for distribution in the European Union (E.U.), making it the fifth COVID vaccine available for use in the E.U. Approved for people over 18 years old, Nuvaxoid is the first protein subunit COVID vaccine to be approved for use.1 2 The vaccine contains the coronavirus spike protein made by using an insect virus (baculovirus) and insect cells plus an adjuvant (saponin) extracted from tree bark.3
The recombinant technology Novavax used to make its COVID vaccine is more traditional, similar to the recombinant hepatitis B vaccine and protein subunit acellular pertussis vaccine.
The two recommended COVID vaccine doses given three weeks apart contain a protein “subunit” which has purified fragments of COVID using recombinant nanotechnology4 along with a soapbox tree adjuvant (Matrix-M), which is supposed to create a strong immune response in the recipient.5 This is distinct from the Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna/NIAID COVID shots, which use mRNA technology to inject synthetic mRNA into the body to provoke cells to produce the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein, which is designed to stimulate antibody production.6
The Johnson & Johnson/Janssen and AstraZeneca/Oxford University COVID vaccines rely on viral vector technology.7
Novavax COVID Vaccine May Be Accepted by Those Skeptical of mRNA Technology
Some analysts expect that Nuvaxovid will be more appealing to people who are skeptical about the safety of the new mRNA technology used to create the Pfizer and Moderna COVID vaccines. According to virologist Angela Rasmussen, PhD:
I’ve talked to some unvaccinated folks here in Canada and the U.S. who stated they’d reconsider their position if a more “traditional” (not mRNA or viral vectored) vaccine were available.8
Other factors that might make Nuvaxovid more marketable are that it is less expensive to manufacture compared to mRNA vaccines and it does not require storage in freezing temperatures.9
The European Medicines Agency (EMA) approved NVX-CoV2373 after clinical trials involving more than 45,000 adults concluded the vaccine effectively prevented SARS-CoV-2 virus infections. A study in the United Kingdom found the vaccine 89.7 percent effective and a study in Mexico found the vaccine 90.4 percent effective at preventing SARS-CoV-2 infections.10
FDA Has Not Approved Novavax COVID Vaccine
The NVX-CoV2373 vaccine was only granted conditional marketing authorization and the E.U.’s executive commission must confirm the approval prior to the vaccine being distributed to the public. The World Health Organization (WHO) already approved Novavax for emergency use in the United Nations (UN) COVID-19 vaccine program which allows poorer countries to receive the vaccine.11 In November, the vaccine was approved for use in Indonesia and the Philippines. Novavax has applied for licensing in Australia, Canada, Indonesia, New Zealand and the U.K.12
Despite being a U.S.-based company, Novavax does not have Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval for Nuvaxoid to be distributed in the U.S.13 The vaccine has not yet been tested for efficacy against the Omicron variant of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, but Novavax stated that should the current vaccine not be a match, they plan on developing a version of the vaccine that would be effective against Omicron.
The E.U. has ordered 100 million doses of the vaccine in anticipation of the EMA’s approval.14 On Jan. 10, 2022, Novavax’s president and CEO Stanley Erck announced that shipments of their vaccine to the E.U. had begun. He characterized the move as a “big milestone for the company” and noted, “There is a lot of pent-up demand for our vaccine.”15

We keep turning out new vaccines, mostly inoculations by definition, and very little attention is give to tried and true measures, lose weight, limit sugar, exercise, eat clean food, supplement with D3, Vit C, Magnesium and Zinc and get at least 8 hours of sleep per night. IF someone were to become infected there are many very effective measures that can be taken. Given that even the flu vaccine is barely 50% effective why wouldn’t we do more education about the aforementioned?
You right. And why can’t people be left alone who do a better job tending to their own health. Not sick. Not spreading or infecting people with covid or anything else.
https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2589909020300186 James Lyons-Weiler recently commented and referenced his article from march 2020 that the Novavax vaccine still contains the ADE epitopes:
To my knowledge, none of the vaccine manufacturers have bothered to remove the autoreactogenic epitopes. This includes the Novavax vaccine, which is an injection of microparticles that contain the actual spike protein and a relatively new vaccine adjuvant, M-matrix, which is based on saponin extracted from the soapbox tree (Quillaja saponaria). It turns out that some people who are allergic to quinoa have a saponin allergy – thus, it would be important for physicians considering offering the Novavax vaccine, and patients considering taking it, to be aware of whether they are in fact allergic to saponin. It’s possible and perhaps even likely that some who accept this new vaccine will develop allergic responses to saponins and may develop new food allergies. No data on that yet, but it is entirely reasonable to expect that outcome.
My take-home messages is that people may want to mute their inevitable SARS-CoV-2 virus infection with early aggressive treatments to reduce the severity of the illness, but also to reduce the likelihood of the development of autoimmunity from pathogenic priming, and that mass intentional exposure of entire populations to viral proteins with a vaccine should be expected to lead to increased risk chronic morbidity when the virus finds the vaccinated.
Knowing that Mr. Bill “Eugenics” Gates has heavily funded Novavax gives me a huge amount of concern. Knowing how he experimented on third world countries with other vaccines in the past raises a ton of red flags. Knowing he’s mainly into vaccines “for the return on investment”… well, you know where I’m going with this. Not to mention, show me the data on efficacy, since we now know Pfizer, Moderna and the lot used relative risk instead of absolute risk to falsely inflate how good they are.
Call me a skeptic, I don’t care. There are so many viable treatments available that they are knowingly suppressing, I don’t see why the oligarchs are so hell bent on “sticking it” to the people. Well, I do know… go back to point #1.
Sandi, I agree with you 1,000 percent! Big pharma has lost my confidence in vaccines many years ago. Bill Gates is on a Ted Talks stating we need to depopulate the world because of global warming and if “we do a good job with vaccines and reproductive science we can reduce the population by 10%.” People need to watch it and then tell me you would take ANY vaccine he endorses etc.
The Novavax “vaccine” resembles more of the same to me. They say it doesn’t use mRNA technology. That offers no consolation on this end since the vax reportedly contains spike protein. Whether natural, synthetic, made from bugs, bats or whatever. The spike protein from the original virus did enough damage all by itself. Lord deliver us from evil.
EugeniGates says it all, exterminating people is his aim, gotta depopulate.
Nobody mentions that all the vaccines in the US were developed using aborted baby cell lines from 1973, that’s reason enough for me not to get the jab, but it doesn’t even prevent Covid, and my sister died from the Pfizer vaccine, this is real life, not politics.
Isn’t Dr Malone involved in development of this particular jab?
I’m with Colc when it comes to use of any vaccine that was developed using aborted fetal cells. It is against everything I stand for. This new vaccine sounds concerning if Gates is supporting it. His mission is no secret and we still don’t have any long term safety on the current covid-19 “vaccines”…and less for this Novavax version. Big Pharma and the medical industrial complex have lost any shred of trust I may have once had, though I have always been skeptical of western medicine…since the idea is that there is no money in healthy people…just keep us all as unhealthy as possible with your “safe and effective” drugs. I am sorry for all those people that have been falling for the lie on these vaccines. Thinking it can save them, mean while most of the vaccinated people I know are coming down with Covid!
How dangerous is this vaccine?
What population is at higher risk?
Who was excludeed in the expermental trial?
How far have we come from real medicine as in ancient China, where the good doctor is paid to keep the people well, not paid off to make the people sicker
AM says the vaccinated people they know are getting Covid, that has been my experience too, all the people I know, family and friends, almost all were vaccinated before they contracted Covid, and many were quite sick. I did have a couple of family members who got Covid before the vaccines were available, but hardly had any symptoms, and of course who knows if they even had it, the tests were proven to be inaccurate.
