Israeli Study Finds Natural Immunity to Coronavirus Far Superior to Vaccine-Induced Immunity

A new retrospective observational study conducted by researchers at Tel Aviv University and Maccabi Healthcare in Israel found that unvaccinated individuals who developed an infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus were considerably more protected against the Delta variant of the virus than those who had received two doses of the Pfizer/BioNTech’s experimental messenger RNA (mRNA) biologic BNT162b2.1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8

According to the study, those who had been vaccinated with BNT162b2 were 13 times more likely to be infected with the Delta variant than those who had already been infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus and had developed natural immunity to the virus. The study also found that vaccinated individuals were at a significantly higher risk of developing COVID-19 symptoms and being hospitalized for the illness than those with natural immunity.1 2 3 5 8

The authors of the study, which compared the outcomes of more than 800,000 people over the period from Mar. 1, 2020 through Aug. 14, 2021.2 3 5 concluded:

This study demonstrated that natural immunity confers longer lasting and stronger protection against infection, symptomatic disease and hospitalization caused by the Delta variant of SARS-CoV-2, compared to the BNT162b2 two-dose vaccine-induced immunity. Individuals who were both previously infected with SARS-CoV-2 and given a single dose of the vaccine gained additional protection against the Delta variant.2 3 7

Study is Largest to Compare Natural and Vaccine-Induced Immunity

The study, which is the largest real-world observational study to date comparing natural and vaccine-induced immunity, was broken down into three categories: 673,676 individuals who received two doses of BNT162b2, 62,883 previously infected individuals who were unvaccinated and 42,099 previously infected individuals who received one dose of BNT162b2. All individuals observed were 16 years of age or older. 2 3 5 6

“It’s a textbook example of how natural immunity is really better than vaccination,” says Charlotte Thålin, MD of Danderyd Hospital and the Karolinska Institute in Sweden. “To my knowledge, it’s the first time [this] has really been shown in the context of COVID-19.”8

It is worth noting that the study has only been published as a preprint and has not yet been peer reviewed. The study also has some limitations. For example, it only examined Pfizer/BioNTech’s BNT162b2 shot, not other COVID biologics on the market. Also, while the study controlled for factors such as age, gender and area of residence, behaviors such as social distancing and mask wearing were not taken into account.2 3 6 7

Furthermore, the authors of the study noted, “as this is an observational real-world study, where PCR ( polymerase chain reaction) screening was not performed by protocol, we might be underestimating asymptomatic infections, as these individuals often do not get tested.”2

Study Confirms Findings in Published Papers

Still, the results of the study confirm similar results in peer-reviewed papers published in Nature and Immunity Physician and immunologist Michael Nussenzweig, MD, PhD of the Rockefeller University in New York City has published data in those journals showing that individuals who recover from infections with the SARS-CoV-2 virus “continue to develop increasing numbers and types of coronavirus-targeting antibodies for up to one year.”8 9 10

By comparison, Dr. Nussenzweig says, those who have received two doses of a COVID vaccine cease to have increases “in the potency or breadth of the overall memory antibody compartment” just a few months after the second dose.8

“It will be important to see these findings replicated or refuted,” says biostatistician Natalie Dean, PhD of Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.8

To say “ . . natural immunity is really better than vaccination.” is the same as saying that “It’s really better to have been infected and to have survived than to be vaccinated.” Should one conclude then that one should not get vaccinated in the first place? Maybe so, if you’re not too old.

These studies only prove what any respectable doctors have known for the past 100 years of medical science.

The headline “Study is Largest to Compare Natural and Vaccine-Induced Immunity” suggests that it’s better to not be vaccinated – but no, what they found was that it’s better to have been infected by Covid-19 and survived, compared to just getting vaccinated. No thanks! For me, I’d rather get vaccinated than get Covid-19 and hope to survive. (But then, I’m over 80. Maybe if I was 20 I’d be glad to get infected rather than vaccinated.)

You know it comes down to……..Everyone has to make their own decision based on their own Health & Age. I saw my 1/2 brother (83 yrs. old) and Uncle (90 yrs. old) get severely ill having the Influenza (flu) Vaccines……but I accepted their decisions. They had avoided that vaccine for Years……..then their doctors convinced them it was “Critical for their health”. They were sorry they did it……as they grew up in an Ara that didn’t have all these Viruses & Bacteria’s…(MRSA / C.Diff) that we didn’t have in the Olden Days. Every thing has Mutated and gotten Worse…….so, we have to be prepared and do the Best we feel is Right for us.

Kimberly, yeah I caught that statement too. What I have learned from listening to the whistleblowers anyone who gets the jab after already having COVID is in deep trouble should they be exposed again. Common sense tells me natural immunity is far superior than any man made cocktail aka “natural” what happened to “Organic” anyway. What Happened to “Just Say No to Drugs” now they want us to roll up our sleeves and shoot up!! What a bunch of NONSENSE!!!!

God created us with a superior immune system with many now trying to covince us that it is not good enough. The research is just beginning and will take years like for all previous drugs since only time will give us the information we need. In the meantime I will be putting my faith in our almighty god Jesus Christ.

Since I am not in a risky group (i.e. no ‘co-morbidities), it seemed to me better to possibly get the virus than to take a vaccine that still had no long term findings…. especially since the vax makers were given liability protection (and yet were allowed to make billions). That arrangement leaves the vax-recipients holding the bag for any negative long-term effects.

I’m also waiting for immunologists to speak up and suggest it would be better for our children to get natural antibodies at a young age (assuming no co-morbidities) and therefore obtain years, if not life-long, protection from future corona-viruses.

I know 20 or 30 people unvaccinated that got covid and recovered, i know 20 or 30 friends that were vaccinated and got covid and recovered. In the unvaccinated friends i have had 6 to die, in the vaccinated friends i know of 4 that that died. That brings me to the dangers of the vax, i have had 4 family members that got the jab and 4 died within 48 hours, i dont know in my circle of friends if the 4 that died that were vaccinated if their passing was within 48 hours of the jab. the CDC quit keeping records on deaths from the jab , my brother- in -law collapsed in his yard after the shot and all the veins were ruptured in his face, he had bled out under the skin, yet they list death as stroke not associated with the jab. Thats their tale, i set on mine??????

Wow, he knew that many people that died from the jab, if only they would be honest about the facts. So many reactions are not report, its self reported so many don’t. Over 13,000 have died from the jab, that is crazy.
      Sorry for your loss.

Why mess with our immune system created by Yahweh? We should be supporting it instead with healthy food, air, water, exercise, etc. But only some have eyes to see and ears to hear.

Also, we should never have accepted any kind of vaccines long ago – people have come to accept them unless they come out of their trust in the medical system. Besides what is in the vaccines that we may not know, what we do know should be a warning – read the label!

I’ve just fully recovered from Covid 19 and I candy with absolutely certainty the majority of people will be just fine. If you are already sick with something I’m sorry for you, I truly am but then that would be regardless of virus variant. If you are normal and healthy you don’t need to be an experiment for big Pharma. Now that I’ve had it and am clear I feel awesome.

Bravo Thomas. I think that we need to consider our own vulnerabilities. I just recently recovered from Covid. I did not get vaccinated because of my concerns about hyper-reactions to the shot. Now, even though I am immune, I have decided to vaccinate because the data shows that the vaccine does seem to offer additional protection. Also, I realized that my fears were being exacerbated by impassioned arguments against the vaccine. Ultimately, we need to be able to discern what is the best decision for ourselves.

Everyone acts so surprised that our immune system is far superior to any vaccine or any gene therapy. What part of “experimental” did you not understand ? None of these results should come as a surprise to anyone.

it is high time that common sense takes over. healthy young people with out co-morbidities should not be forced to vaccinate. this will build a stronger population against infections in the future. That by the way is the way it has historically been done for other diseases for a long time.

People who have not had the vaccine and have recovered from Corona Virus, have gotten the virus a second time. Getting and recovering from the virus does NOT guarantee immunity. Getting the vaccine after recovering from the virus OR getting the virus after receiving the vaccine, both result in a more sustained immunity..

    Michael medcalfe.
    You said you recently recovered.
That means you have immunity for the recent strain.
You got another 6 months before the next strain to decide.
The vaccine is deadly and causes many adverse effects.
With your age and conditions you can calculate you’re risk.
    Then review the study.
You can do a risk benefits analysis.
The vaccine has a 20 per million reported suspected deaths per jab💉.
I believe the actual death rate is higher.
Only 20% of deaths in retires were reported as suspected covid deaths in the first 3 days.
The vaccine is becoming less effective after each strain. In 6 months it may not provide any protection.

In view of Biden’s announcement, we must work hard to carve out exemptions for those who have contracted Covid-19 and who have recovered, which confers them with far superior immunity than is guessed by Biden to be in vaccinations
See Israeli Tel Aviv study and many others which corroborate it
