Zoo Animals Given Experimental COVID-19 Vaccine

Zoos around the United States have begun giving animals an experimental COVID-19 vaccine manufactured by a veterinary pharmaceutical company known as Zoetis, Inc. headquartered in Parsippany-Troy Hills, New Jersey.1

USDA Authorizes Experimental COVID-19 Vaccine for Zoo Animals

Zoetis has donated 11,000 doses of the vaccine to about 70 U.S. zoos, as well as sanctuaries, universities and other animal conservation sites in twenty-seven states.2

The experimental COVID-19 vaccine was specifically developed for animals and goes through an entirely different approval process with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) than the process the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) uses for licensing vaccines for humans.3

Mahesh Kumar, Senior Vice President at Zoetis said:

When the first dog was infected with COVID-19 in Hong Kong last year, we immediately began to work on a vaccine that could be used in domestic animals, and in eight months we completed our initial safety studies, which we presented at the World One Health Congress last year. While thankfully a COVID-19 vaccine is not needed in pets or livestock at this time, we are proud that our work can help zoo animals at risk of COVID-19.4

The USDA has not prioritized development of COVID-19 vaccine candidates for cats or dogs. Veterinarians have pointed out there is no evidence that pets transmit the SARS-CoV-2 virus to humans.5

SARS-CoV-2 Virus Has Been Detected in Some Animals

According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there is no evidence that animals play a significant role in spreading SARS-CoV-2, the virus that can cause COVID-19 disease, to people. Based on the available information to date, the risk of animals spreading the virus to people is considered to be low.6

It is known that companion animals like cats and dogs, big cats in zoos or sanctuaries, gorillas in zoos, mink on farms and a few other mammals have tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus. Zoetis also has developed and validated feline and canine-specific real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) diagnostic tests to detect SARS-CoV-2.7 The hypothesis is that these animals may have become infected after being exposed to an animal caretaker with COVID-19. CDC officials have said that more studies are needed to understand if and or how different animals could be affected by SARS-CoV-2.8

Zoos in the U.S. Begin Vaccinating Animals

Some animals at the Denver Zoo in Colorado will be getting the experimental COVID-19 vaccine. The primates and carnivores will be the first animals at the zoo to receive the vaccine.9

Vilas Zoo and Milwaukee County Zoo in Wisconsin is planning to vaccinate select species against the novel coronavirus. Two orangutans, three lions, one tiger, the mustelidae, five otters, two badgers and one skunk will be the first to be given the experimental COVID-19 vaccine developed by Zoetis for animals.10

The Oakland Zoo in California began to give the vaccine to its tigers, black bears, grizzly bears, mountain lions and ferrets. The zoo next plans to give doses to primates, including chimpanzees, as well as fruit bats and pigs.11

Zoetis has provided the same experimental COVID-19 vaccine to mink farmers in Oregon after the state ruled in early 2021 that all farmed mink had to be vaccinated.12

  1. ? . I have not been hearing animals died from covid, that’s very bizarre. Didn’t animals get infected with covid, and were they survived? If that’s the case, it doesn’t make any sense to begin vaccinating animals at zoo.

    1. I HEARD ABOUT THIS LAST YEAR AND WAS OUTRAGED! IT’S BAD ENOUGH WE HAVE ZOOS! BUT, GIVE ME A BREAK !! WHY WOULD ANIMAL KEPT IN A CAGE NEED THIS EXPERIMENTAL VACCINE! THOSE ZOO KEEPERS AND ANY CITY THAT OK’D THIS NEED TO JABBED REPEATEDLY AND PUT IN A CAGE! SO SICK OF THESE PPL I POWER ABUSINH GOD’S WORLD! AND HIS PPL AND ALL OF ITS MAGNIFICENCE. GOD.. PLEASE COME AND SAVE US. AMEN

  2. When these animals are exposed to the next flu virus, then they will all die. Of course they will blame the unvaxxed.

    1. You got it DMP!! These evil mo-fo’s won’t be happy until they destroy the last vestiges of innocence!!!

    2. This is insanity and very sad. It has never been scientifically proven zoo animals get covid and they dont ! This is about money.
These poor animals will probably die. Can’t believe the Oakland zoo in Ca. is doing this.
I never visit zoos anyway , sad animals trapped inside cages and enclosures they are not and were never meant to be our entertainment. Leave the animals alone !

      1. I enjoy visiting zoos, but I’m aware it can be abusive. And I agree it’s about money, I just couldn’t believe they began vaccinating animals.

      2. I totally agree. Its bad enough that they are caged. They don’t get close enough to people. They are already practicing distancing.Leave them alone.

  3. It’s just another outlet for big pharma to make money. Who really cares if an animal dies as long as humans can gain some info from this latest experiment. Until we wake up and say enough is enough this will never stop in man or animals.

  4. This is insane, just like everything else they do! Evil C_ _TS!!! So sad not only are these majestic beasts caged and have no freedom they are now unwitting test subjects and will most likely die because of this unnecessary experiment by mad men!!!

  5. STOP vaccinating the animals – any animals! They will die just like the ferrets in the COVID-19 test trials on the vaccines they were doing for our ‘people’ vaccines. They ALL died when they were exposed to the next virus. People STAND UP! If not for yourselves STAND UP for animals that depend on us to take care of them. This is obscene and EVIL. WAKE UP!

  6. I’m OUTRAGED AND SICKENED ???
Not ONLY ARE THESE BEAUTIFUL ANIMALS IMPRISONED FIR LIFE!!
They’re NOW USED AS AN EXPERIMENT FOR THESE RIDICULOUS JABS!!
    SHAME ON THESE EVIL BASTARDS!!
    KARMA…. IS A BITCH!!!

  7. I am so sad to see this story. Poor zoo animals! Will they come for our domesticated animals and our livestock (food supply) next? I currently have an 18-year-old dog. He is a medium-sized dog and the only reason he has lived so long is because after his annual three-year-old shots his immune system went nuts. He’d developed allergies to everything under the sun. His skin was red, his beautiful fur was falling out, he was constantly chewing and licking himself. The vet who over-vaccinated him put him on one anti-inflammatory drug after another which only made things worse. Finally, I found a holistic vet. She put him on a raw beef diet to clean out his system, Omega 3 Fatty Acids for inflammation and for yogurt to build back his gut flora. No more annual 3 in 1 shots just the required rabies shot. Later in life, we started titer testing him and because his titers were always good, he did not get a rabies shot either. I’m not totally against vaccinations. I am against over-vaccination, unnecessary booster shots and mass experimental shots for animals and/or humans.

  8. I am wondering if they may be doing this as a trial, to then begin vaccinating the livestock, in the US. What happens if we eat Covid vaccinated beef or chicken???

  9. So we already know that Vets don’t get adequate schooling on nutrition for Dogs and Cats and insist on telling customers to feed kibble. How much schooling do they get for the excessive vaccinations they want to jab your pets with when proof exists to show the life of their precious vaccines in pets immune systems? Annual Rabies shots —- not needed as life of the immunity can exceed 7 years or more. Same thing for their multi-valent dosing which can injure a reactive pet. Too many vaccines can overwhelm a pets health but these unschooled vets still give them. So now they’re experimenting on captive animals. Insane!

  10. Some racing dogs had COVID in Bundaberg Australia years back when no one had even heard about it. ? The dogs were totally fine, just like the humans who get it, only the sick and vulnerable are the ones who have issues.

  11. Hey, why not start animal abuse; it’s been going on with the humans for the past 7 months. Spread the love.

  12. The level of EVIL in the world is not even measurable anymore. I am sickened by all of this!! Time for a REVOLUTION to STOP THE EVIL!!!!! ?????????

  13. So many good comments. Great job.

My ? is sick she was sneezing and now she coughing, nothing comes up.
I dot know what to feed her, vitamin C? Zink? I am OK.

? Do they use the same vaccine on all the different mamels?

  14. If the Depopulation Agenda carries through, all Household pets and Zoo inmates will need ‘hotshots’ in preparation for the 5G events. Otherwise much extra work will be needed by the Security Forces to Cull them as Innocent Secondary Bystanders. The animal jabs will become Mandatory for households (more Pharma Profit) and thus to ease State Security cleanup workloads.

  15. So now Monsanto or big pharma wants to own all of the animals too? I really wonder what their game plan is. Or is it just that simple? They want to control every being on earth. When do they start injecting our bee hives and fish farms or even better still why don’t they just implant mosquitoes and they can do the injections for them? This world is going to a shit show and all the sheep are just allowing it to happen.
