Tanzanian Government Skeptical About Safety of COVID-19 Vaccines

On Feb 2, 2021, Tanzania’s health minister, Dorothy Gwajima, announced that her country has no plans in place to recommend widespread use of COVID-19 vaccines in the African country.1 The announcement came a few days after Tanzania’s President John Magufuli expressed concern about the safety and effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccines developed and manufactured in Western countries.2

Tanzanian President Says Citizens Will Not Be Guinea Pigs in Vaccine Trials

President Magufuli said that the health ministry will only accept COVID-19 vaccines after Tanzania’s experts have examined and certified them. Health Minister Dorothy Gwajima explained, “We are not yet satisfied that those vaccines have been clinically proven safe”.3

President Magufuli reiterated that he will not allow Tanzanians to be used as guinea pigs in COVID-19 vaccine trials conducted by vaccine manufacturers. He warned that COVID-19 vaccines could be harmful and has been urging Tanzanians to stop living in fear and adopt common sense disease control measures and lead a healthy lifestyle.4 5 Health Minister Gwajima said:

We must improve our personal hygiene, wash hands with running water and soap, use handkerchiefs, herbal steam, exercise, eat nutritious food, drink plenty of water, and [use] natural remedies that our nation is endowed with.6

Questions About Whether COVID-19 Vaccine Will Be Available in Tanzania

Since the Tanzanian government has expressed hesitation about using COVID-19 vaccines, there are concerns being raised about whether Tanzanian citizens would get access to COVID vaccines through other avenues.7 If the government does not “register” COVID-19 vaccines for use in the country, there will be no vaccine supply accessible to the population. If the government decides to register the vaccines but declines to import them, private sector companies may be allowed to import some doses of COVID-19 vaccines, but the supply would likely not be enough for everyone in the country. In addition, if the supply of vaccines is only available through the private sector, the vaccines may not be accessible or affordable for many people living in Tanzania.8

On Feb. 3, 2021, a forecast of COVID-19 vaccine distribution was published by the COVAX initiative, which is an international collaboration between GAVI, the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI) to ensure equitable access to vaccines. Tanzania was not on the distribution list.9

Tanzania’s Approach to the COVID-19 Pandemic “Unconventional”

The WHO and other institutions have been watching Tanzania closely since COVID-19 began to spread across Africa. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Tanzanian government has objected to adopting strict lockdown protocols or restricting the movement of its citizens as the primary way to contain the spread of the virus, an approach adopted in the U.S., Europe and other countries. Although Tanzania’s more open and less restrictive approach has appeared to be radical and unconventional to many, the reasons included avoiding the negative economic fallout cause by lockdowns and the belief that the severity of the COVID-19 pandemic was over-rated.10

It was also President Magufuli who questioned the accuracy of the SARS CoV PCR tests. He had a goat, a fruit, other non human things, tested. Some came back positive for the virus ! It is taking a third World country to find the truth.

Tanzania’s leaders have common sense, sorely lacking in the so-called “enlightened” nations of Europe, the U.S. and others. I knew this was all bogus from the beginning–skeptical because I had a bad case of the Asian flu (pandemic of 1957-58) as a kid. 120,000 ACTUAL U.S. deaths (no lockdowns, no shutdowns, no media hype). I was sick in bed for two weeks (and asked older people what they recall–the same thing, no shutdowns, no media hype). And we probably had triple or quadruple the population now. The Hong Kong Flu (pandemic of 1968-69) had 100,000 ACTUAL U.S. deaths (no shutdowns, no media hype).

I immediately researched masks and found 3 or 4 studies on the CDC website indicating that cloth and surgical masks are not effective; in November 2020 the Danish study of 6000 participants (half always wore masks; half never wore masks) had basically no difference (0.3%) in infection rate. Pfizer and Moderna COVID “vaccines” aren’t vaccines but with mRNA technology are genome modifiers. mRNA is dangerous and causes the body to attack itself. They were never tested on animals; mRNA was never used on humans before. In 2002 they tested a mRNA coronavirus vaccine on animals–ALL THE ANIMALS EITHER GOT SICKER OR DIED (when first vaccinated, or after a reinfection of this or another coronavirus).

Very glad to see common sense prevail – at least in one part of the globe.

The Tanzanian Government is right to be sceptical about the so-called ‘pandemic’ agenda being pushed by various nefarious entities worldwide.

Yes: this virus is real. Just as the flu and some other, less pleasant viruses are. However, if the mainstream media would stop scare-mongering (at the behest of those nefarious entities referred to above) and present the TRUE facts (ha! – good luck with these), then people might be in a better position to make informed decisions.

I wish Tanzania and its people all the best.

. Unfortunately, using Tanzania as a good example of government measures is compromising this Webpage’s claim of an ‘enlightened conversation about vaccination, health and autonomy”.

    History of intransigence and excesses
In 2017, Magufuli banned pregnant school girls from continuing school despite calls to the contrary. As a result the World Bank delayed the release of a $500 million education loan.

Eventually, Magufuli bowed to the pressure and lifted the ban.

Another example of Magufuli’s intransigence was his reaction to a planned countrywide protest organised by the opposition Chadema party. The police threatened to use force to stop citizens from participating. Eventually, the opposition called off the demonstration after faith leaders and civil society called for dialogue.

To date, there has not been any dialogue between the government and Chadema.

I am not sure why you are bringing up these as a response to the article and why you think it compromises the goal of this website. It does not. Give me an example of any government that does not have controversial or contradictory policies about one thing or another.
The important point here is that Tanzania is paving the way for African countries to rebel against being the guinea pigs for vaccines and that is admirable.

Right there with you, Tom. It is a travesty to see these poisons promoted. It seems certain big Pharma knew the risks. They’ve failed at mRNA for 20 years….suddenly they figured them out and they are safe…..just as the world needed them. No, I don’t think so.

With a population of about 60,800,000, Tanzania has just over 500 cases of Covid-19 and 21 deaths (the USA accounts for 1/5 of deaths from Covid-19 worldwide). How would they benefit from the vaccine? Looks like they’re doing some things right. https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/

Biden should be asking many countries with low Covid deaths how they stay healthy.
Instead of giving them our advice.💉💉

Biden don’t care about our lives.

Changing our diet and life style in 8 months would have a huge distruption on our supply chain.
    It’s easier to mandate 💉💉
What he going to do when 💉💉 don’t work. Mandate more 💉?
