Botched Measles Vaccinations Kill 15 Children in South Sudan

Some children did survive the botched [measles] vaccinations last month and will recover. But 15, all under the age of five, died from fever, vomiting and diarrhea. The contaminated vaccine caused sepsis, a blood infection. Human errors contributed to the unfortunate deaths of the children and, namely, the use of unskilled and untrained personnel.
